Yale Alarm Kit
Bought this to replace old wired alarm system. Easy to install apart from siren. The instructions in the manual were incorrect but I was soon put right from nice man from Yale.Very pleased with the system. Works from the app on my iPhone. Reminds me to set the alarm when I leave the house and reminds me to disarm when I get home. Great value for the money.

Works well and as intended
Despite certain reviews here, this alarm kit is easy to configure. The only thing to know is that the internal battery might need charging, and if it does, it can take up to three days to charge fully. That's long!During that time, the hub will emit an annoying, intermittent beep. Then, to get rid of the amber fault light, you will need to fully arn and then disarm the system. Other than that, it works as intended. The app is minimalistic but responsive. Money well spent, I say.

My alarm system
My Yale alarm system is very impressive, I brought it to replace an older system of the same make and the new system is amazing, it does everything it should and is so easy to work with using an app instead of a keypad and the remote keypad as backup. I can’t recommend this system enough I fitted it myself and I am not a computer genius and I think most people with basic knowledge could install this.

Good kit ,easy to use and install once you set it all up ...
Everything went well until I couldn't get the siren to pair ..below is the response from yale customer support should you struggle , turned out I already did it by chance and not from the written instructions that are a bit naffPlease follow the process below for the correct pairing procedure for linking the HSA siren to the hub. It's important to note that with this alarm system, the siren will not show in your list of accessories which can make things more confusing.• In the external siren turn all the dip switches to off and turn the siren off• Leave the siren off for 5 minutes• After 5 minutes turn the siren on and it should chirp• Then press and hold the learn button on the hub until the solid green LED turns to flashing green (usually within 5 seconds)• Then press the learn button in the siren for 1 second and the siren should chirp• Then press the learn button on the black hub for 1 second and the siren should chirp• Then press the learn button in the siren for 1 second and the siren should chirp• Then press and hold the learn button on the black hub until the flashing green LED turns back to solid green• The siren is now linked to the system as a device you can mount it and test – please note it will not show in in your device list as a connected device

System requires Android 11 or Apple IOS 13 or above, Instructions are inaccurate.
This system uses the Yale Smart Living Alarm App, NOT the Yale Home App as described in the instructions. Moreover, this App will only operate on Smart Phones Android 11 or Apple/IOS 13 or above. If you download the correct App (nor as described in the instructions) then it is very easy to install. But, if you don't have the appropriate smart phone don't buy it as you will not be able to use it.

It works !! - fairly easy to set up and use
The control unit connects directly to internet router with ethernet, easy to link devices.I can arm/disarm remotely with the App or use a keypad affixed to the wall inside front door, or use a key-fob (an extra)

A grwatalternative to the mass appeal of camera security
While it can be a bit fidgety to pair siren with hub (see review by Optimus Grime for setup details), it's an excellent internet (not WiFi) enabled alarn.Also, integrate with Alexa & you can maintain a routine to arm/disarm alarm overnight/during day or remotely.Siren is loud, movement sensors seem accurate, gate/door/window sensor does what it should.I have overlooked the fact just to get an alarm not a camera based security system for far too long... Excellent product..Looses one star only because setup is a bit harder than it should!
