Really good security camera
Bought this to replace a reolink camera. The Onvif installation to my NVR was smooth. The picture quality at night and during the day is really good.

They are easily hacked!
I have purchased these multiple times (about 20 of them were in use) When they are first installed they have great audio and video quality especially at night and they are overall FANTASTIC! I give them ***** 5 Stars. Then after a while there is a lot of suspicious network activity, the Cameras go offline 1 by 1 and then the setup menu cannot be accessed. Then none of the settings can be changed and you get to throw them in the trash! I purchased 2 to start and they worked for a long time so I kept purchasing them and 1 by 1 they have all been hacked after showing suspicious network activity. A network intrusion attempt from ###.###.###.### has been detected, then they no longer operate. I tried to contact the seller and never heard back. If you need a fantastic "Temporary" camera and you are NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET then this camera is a great choice. This is why cameras and DVR/NVR systems need to be NDAA compliant and these DO NOT appear to meet that requirement. Update 02/22/2023 Changed from 1 * to 3 *** after I spent hours and was finally able to download upgraded firmware (from another vendor) No one from amazon or the supplier responded to any of my questions. The 2 I kept out of 20 I threw in a box in storage due to frustration finally seem to stay online without dropping off of my DVR. I will continue to update after more evaluation.

Pretty good security camera to add around your house.
Picture quality is decent for what you are paying for, Night vision works well. You can control multiple functions on the app, it looks like all the security cameras that are on private or public companies offices. If you are on a budget but care about safety and security then I highly recommend getting this one or something similar especially if you are seeing a increased in crime rates around your area. The world is no longer safe.

10 FPS cap?
EDIT: Revising to 5 stars. The manufacturer replied to me and told me that the camera can drop to 10FPS in night mode to get a better picture. This is true; you can get the higher FPS during the day. Cost and picture are a good value with these camera. I own three of these and recently discovered that despite what settings I choose in the UI, the actual FPS being produced by the cameras is capped at 10. They'll go less if you ask them to. But if you choose 15, the actual FPS shoots to 15 for about a second and then returns to 10. This occurs on both main and sub stream. I've emailed the manufacturer. I'll add stars if this is resolved sufficiently. I have 3 Amcrest cameras in the same system that all behave as expected. The attached picture is with the main and substream configured with 15 FPS and 15 frame interval. You should see 15.00/1.00 FPS. So the frame interval on the substream appears to be the only setting that works as expected. I've gone as low as 720P resolution and get the same results.

The Real Deal
Okay folks this camera is great. I have looked for cameras that will directly stream to YouTube without the use of an encoder program which requires the use of a computer. This camera will stream directly to your YT page without an encoder program thus removing the need for a server or computer to send the stream to YT!! This is huge if you stream to YT. The only other cameras that will stream rtmp start around $1,000 - yes three zeros! If you do not stream to YT then it's still an amazing camera. It streams to literally every protocol available now that it stream to rtmp! Quality is great, setup easy. I have over 12 cameras ranging from fixed to PTZ and I will be replacing all of them (but the PTZ) with this camera. I may even look into this company's PTZ cameras and if they have rtmp I will be replacing mine with this brand.

Good indoor, bad outdoor.
Had this camera as an indoor camera for a while. As an indoor camera I really can't complain. It's a good picture, works great with BlueIris. Had no issues configuring or setting it up. Once mounting outside and letting it run for a day, the picture is extremely blurry. All Amcrest camera's that I have running have, and continue to be great. I'd stick with an Amcrest brand instead of this.

Quality cameras
I got two of these (front and back door). They have a wide angle so are not great for distance but perfect for entryways. Work great day and night.

Decent Inexpensive Camera w/ Quirks
Unable to detect motion from the camera using ONVIF in Synology Surveillance Station. If setting night vision to "auto", the camera would reboot and reset itself to factory default settings. Very little in the way of documentation available from the manufacturer or otherwise online to explain the camera configuration options. Had a strange issue where the date would automatically advance ahead by one day, no matter if the time was set manually, synced via PC, or synced via NTP. Seemed to fix itself after pulling the ethernet/power to it a couple of times? Otherwise, a very decent camera for the price with good video quality. Sturdy, unobtrusive metal housing that doesn't take up much space. Ended up returning the unit for a camera that is better supported in Synology Surveillance Station.

First off, several people had FPS issues but nobody actually commented how they fixed them, so I'll do that. First step after adding the camera to your network is to download an app like tinyCam and then scan for cameras, you can find the IP of the camera and go to that address in your browser. The default credentials are "admin", password "123456" (this is listed on a sticker on the box). The camera is by default capped at 15FPS using the highest resolution setting, which drops to 10FPS in night mode. You can change the FPS in the settings by going to the camera's IP in your browser, which is where all the settings can be accessed, but to make the FPS actually change you have to also change the bitrate setting from CBR (constant bit rate) to VBR (variable bit rate). This allows the camera to achieve higher FPS. I still don't have more than 10FPS in night mode, which is too bad because that's when you'd most likely want to really get a good look at a baddie, but there you go. I thought that maybe I could drop the resolution in exchange for higher framerate, but unfortunately when you drop the resolution the actual field of view drops too - you can't have the same area shown but with pixels binned to lower the resolution. Instead when you drop from 5MP to 1080p or whatever, you just get a smaller area shown, which is too bad. Some of the lower resolution settings drop the FOV only vertically, not horizontally, so those are options I may play with to get higher FPS. The camera does give you the option of changing the shutter speed for both day and night time, but unfortunately the sliding scale goes in discrete steps from 1/10s (leaves lots of motion blur at night) to 1/109s+ (gives sharp view of objects, but image is very dark). For optimal use of the camera at 10fps at night my estimate is that you need the shutter speed at around 1/50s which is unfortunately halfway between the two closest-to-good options. The default setting is ok, but not great, you'd need the bad guy to look right at the camera or be standing pretty still to get a good look at their face. Overall I am impressed with the build quality of the camera, the mounting system is all sturdy aluminum and it is easily manipulated within the mounting system to achieve your desired angles etc. before screwing the housing down tight to secure the camera. It would be easy to adjust any time too. The camera comes with a set of screws and drywall anchors if you need those. The camera also comes with water-tight housing for your ethernet cable and a cap for the 12V DC supply if you're not using it (I assume most people like me would run this camera over POE). I recommend putting the weatherproof housing over the end of the ethernet line before crimping the end of the cable on, but the housing of the weatherproof adapter appears big enough that you could put it on even after the cable end is crimped on, which is a nice consideration. Overall, the construction, quality, and ease of mounting/installation was excellent. The viewing angle is quite wide, which is the main reason I ordered these cameras specifically. Unfortunately this does detract from the performance of the camera at distance if you are keen to see license plates etc. For my purpose, which is monitoring doors and corners of my property from cameras mounted ~10ft from the ground, the wide angle is perfect. The firmware leaves much to be desired, but that's to be expected with a budget/off-brand camera. Overall, I'm pleased with the quality and will order another if I have the need.
