I have both sizes and each is brilliant for different purposes..The 500ml is just about compact enough to fit into a coat or trouser pocket which, given it keeps drinks cool for 24 hours, is an absolute godsend because I hate having to carry bags and anyway when in your pour pocket you just don't notice the weight.The bottle itself is wonderfully smooth and slinky and sensual, I just love it.The larger 740ml is too big to carry around so I keep it in the car and use it as a top up.I love them both because they* never leak **** keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold* look stylish* are easy to rinse clean*** However, if you refill too close to the top then it WILL leak - every single time! This is because when replacing the stopper it goes surprisingly deep into the neck. Also when refilling It's almost impossible to tell exactly where the contents come up to until,its already too full.The best solution is to tip back out a small quantity after each refill to make sure it's well below the neckline before replacing the stopper.

I really like this bottle. I use it for cold drinks. They claim it keeps things cold for 24 hours. I put juice in it at about 11:30 as I went out. At 6:30 it was still refreshingly cold. By 11:30 pm it was still nice and cold though not icy. By next morning it was cool. So I think , in constant use, 24 hours is stretching it ( if you don't open it maybe it will stay cold )Saying that it is far better then any other I have tried and 12 hours is plenty. It holds enough liquid for a day trip and keeps it fresh even constantly opening it for a drink on a walk. Fill it in the evening and you have a refreshingly cool drink available overnight. I haven't tried hot liquids yet so cannot comment. It is sturdy and survived being dropped on a path without a dent. The stopper seal (flask style ) feels secure. I think it is well worth the money and I will get another.
