VECTOR MECHANICS FOR ENGINEERS : STATICS DYNAMICS, 12TH EDITION

It's arguably the best book for Engineering Mechanics. The vector approach followed throughout the book makes it perfect for modern day engineering. The concepts are unmatchable, and it digs into every concept you can think of being at B.TECH level. The packaging of the book was not bad, and I won't say anything about the black and white print and so on, coz I believe in learning and not leaning for aesthetics. Yes in some places we may feel the need for colour, especially in graphs. But again it all comes down to the same thing, who truly wants to learn they will just ignore these things. JUST GO FOR IT, it's the best book out there!

The content of the book is so great that every word of appreciation is less. This book is so great that generally it is called as synonym of engineering mechanics subject. Your packing of this book is so worst that it is matter of thinking and investigation for amazon. Packing is neither genuine amazon packing nor good.

Before buying there was an option to “look inside” to know more about the book. One can see the pages are with coloured figures. Coloured picture is useful to understand the different forces acting on an object. However the book that has been delivered is a black and white printout of the original. Most importantly, there is no refund option available. This means, once paid, you will have to accept it.

Before the product review, I want to review the book itself. There are very few solved examples in each chapter. Many variations of questions are skipped in the solved example section and given directly in exercise. In fact, answers are not there for every question. some questions have answers and some have not. Get a solution manual before buying this book. Otherwise it will take a long time to solve this book. Questions are plenty and even closer to real life. Maybe even more than GATE level. But if you can solve this, I think it would make a real engineer at least in the area that book covers. Concepts are explained in a good manner. Book is good but Xerox like appearance spoiled the mood. I don't dislike Black and White books. But those black bars around 70% pages makes it look like a photocopy gone wrong. I can understand that Indian market cannot afford those heavily expensive color books, so they cut the cost by making it black and white. But man, it looks ugly. They should have simply removed those colour areas around the pages and left it plain white. That would have been better.

This is a very very best book for engineering mechanics

It's a bootleg copy of the actual book. Pages are little downsized but they are all there, and no color, black&white print only. Considering printing the pages will cost much more than this book it's actually a great deal. I also don't feel too bad about taking notes on the book. If you can’t afford the actual book I recommend to get this version for sure.
