I've had a Gear S3 Frontier since 2016, and love this watch. The battery started failing a month or so ago, and it got to the point that I couldn't get more than 2 minutes out of it, despite all the resets, code updates, etc., that I'd done. I don't like the new Gear Watch as well, so I decided to take on the repair.There are a few good Youtube videos that walk you through this, and the instructions that come with the kit are good, not missing any steps and the pictures are helpful. I prefer videos for this kind of repair, but the instructions are a good fallback.The tools themselves are good. The separator tool couldn't seem to get enough leverage to actually pull the case back off the unit, so I used a separator from an actual watch kit. The Y and Phillips drivers are good, though, and they're going into my electronics toolkit for sure.The battery had enough charge on it to fire up the watch right away after I was done with the replacement, and so far it seems to be charging perfectly.All in all, it's a little bit of a risky repair and you will lose your water tightness, but it's worth it to not treat this really nice smartwatch as disposable. I highly recommend this kit of the others I saw, because the tools are the right ones, and the instructions are clear and helpful.

My Gear S3 battery was dying and only lasted for a few hours. When I placed the watch to charge, it will say 75% full and charging. I checked all the forum and there are SO many owners with this problem. Firmware update issues? So my options were to keep factory resetting and waiting for more updates or throw this piece of $300 junk away.Then I thought about attempting to repair this myself since it will be junked anyway. After watching a few YouTube videos on how to replace the battery, I was convinced i can also do it. So spending just about $20 to try, not bad. Took about 15 minutes to swap the battery. Popping out the back cover was the most difficult due to the seal. I followed along a YouTube video just in case. Everything works! Now my Gear S3 only used 24% battery after a whole day with a brighter watch face too. So happy and glad I did this. This vendor provided all the necessary tools but I used my own.

I honestly didn't know if I could do this, but instead of spending another $200 - $300 for a new smartwatch, I decided to try to replace the battery myself for my old Gear S3 Classic. The hardest part for me, believe it or not, was removing the darn back cover! One of the tiny back screws was impossible to turn. After many attempts, I finally managed to get it loose! The other difficulty I had was in prying open the back cover with the tool provided. This definitely took many attempts as well using enough force. After I finally got the back cover off, I was able to follow the step by step instructions provided to replace the battery. Putting everything back together was definitely easier than removing everything. Anyway, I am very happy with my purchase and now my smartwatch is functioning like it did when it was new!

I received all parts as described, including the "Y" screw driver unlike some of the other reviews. My watch back was a pain to get off, but I blame the years of use. If you follow on-line videos and the instructions provided, its easy to get the old battery out and new one in. This battery has worked great for the last 2 days up to this review. Charges, and after 12 hours of moderate use, the battery still has 50-60% life left. Hoping it lasts. Saved me from blowing money on a new smart watch.

Was just what I needed for my Samsung Galaxy frontier watch. I had taken my watch to several different places that claim that they could fix it. But to no avail they couldn't oh, so I decided to get on Amazon find a battery that fit my watch and what do you know it ended up being a whole kit. it also came with instructions on how to disassemble and remove the battery from The watch and topics on where to be careful. Because I'm a techie and I'm good with my hands I never even looked at those directions and pictures that were sent with this kit. But now my watch hold a charge for at least two and a half days. It is back to the degree of what it was when I first brought it thank you!

The included Y drivers are garbage, so you'll want to pick up something like an iFixit toolkit (we did) to prevent stripping the heads of the screws while trying to remove them.Otherwise, the battery appears to perform great and restores the original run time of the watch.
