Bumped it up to 5 from 4 stars –- (model ship building) some thoughts after a week of daily use
Pros:Very bright even 5k lightDimmableVery large clear lens.Diopter is a useful +Stays very cool during use.Appears to be very well made.Lens is removable so diopter can be rotated to a "best" locationCons:Plastic lens – at north of $115 USD – lens should be glass – over time this “acrylic” lens may develop scratches after repeated cleanings. It is, of course, much lighter.Off switch needs to be toggled four times to turn light off from full bright. A second just on/off switch should have been provided next to single switch (or a right left toggle with two funtions). Blending the dimmer settings, on and off into just one switch is annoying. And switch should be above not under LED ring. One click does NOT turns light on to previous setting.Lamp cannot be swiveled in any needed 360º configuration. Some needed adjustments are not possible. Had to attach arm directly horizontally to my side – could not attach arm on tableside further in front of me. Otherwise lens remains at an angle when viewing through. The hand tightening four-armed adjuster is made of plastic – needs a LOT of pressure to keep the lens up and horizontal. I think that over-time this bit may break - seriously limiting this lamps use

Great lamp. Skip the dimmer and give us a dust cover instead.
I'm pretty happy with it. The view port is big and the light is bright. The only thing that I think is annoying is that the light has multiple dimmer settings and the power switch does double duty as both the on/off switch as well as the dimmer switch; and so what that means is that if you want to turn off the light you have to cycle through all of the dimmer settings. This is kind of annoying. I think the dimmer settings are not valuable. I cant imagine a use case where I would not want the light on the highest setting. Rather than a dimmer switch it would be nice to have a dustcover over the magnifying lens on a hinge that can be flipped down when not in use.

Wow is this lamp/magnifying lens big, clear and bright!
Wow. I really like this lamp/magnifier. My last one lasted about 15 years. Last week it blew apart. I had springs, bolts, nuts and washers all over the place. I saw one just like my old one but decided to look for a newer model. This new one has led lights that are really bright. The lamp has four brightness levels. It has a really large and really clear magnifying lens. It seems to be extremely well made. It should last for a long time. I like the fact that the light stays parallel to the desktop when you move the arm around. The arm moves around very easily. I really can’t think of anything bad to say about it. When I took it out of the box and picked it up and saw it, I said Wow! I then mounted it to my desk and turned it on and this time I really said WOW! I’m telling you the lens is big and very clear and the lights are very bright. This is just what my tired old eyes needed.

Probably the best at this price point, but leaves a lot to be desired
I wanted a magnifying light for projects and repairs. I chose this one because it had the largest lens. This unit is ok with some caveats.1) the light head is extremely difficult to adjust. You have to loosen/tighten the friction knob to move the light to the position you want and then lock it in place. The whole head will just flop down if you loosen it too much, possibly flopping into your workpiece. The articulating are seems good and holds position well. No complaints.2) I wanted an LED light because halogen is hot and I don’t like the flicker I’ve seen with fluorescent. The brightness of this unit is ok, but I wish it were brighter. You click the on switch and the unit comes on full brightness. Click it again and it dims a bit. I think there are 4 brightness levels before it goes off. The adjustment is kind of useless. I’d prefer straight on off.3) the big lens is acrylic plastic. This means it’s lightweight, scratches easily and has chromatic aberration (colored edges on things when you look thru the lens). I knew this when I bought the lamp, so I’m not disappointed by it. It’s a decent cost/weight trade off. It definitely does the magnifying job well and I’m satisfied. All in all I think I like this. It’s a bit clumsy to adjust and not as bright as i might like. But it doesn’t cost $400 either. I have it up in my office work table. I may buy another one for the garage after I’ve used this one for a while.I recommend this light even with the couple of bugs I mentioned.

Functional, works as stated...
Good looking and very easy to mount on my desk, sits out of the way. 5 Diopter lens size just under 7" at ~ 6-13/16" and 20 Diopter lens roughly 1-7/16". Sufficiently bright at highest setting. Positioning the swivel head is not as smooth as I expected, but its very functional...plus I've only had it a few days so maybe I just need to use it more. The base swivel is much smoother than I expected, thin design, and sturdy. The large lens is nice and I also like the power cord disconnect at the swivel location for easy transport. After going through many reviews and varying models, I'm happy with this choice.

LED Magnifying Lamp
The magnifying lamp was much stouter than the one I had, the light has three or four different shades of light. I love it. The price is worth every penny. Get one you will love it.

Very good!
Works well. Lense is very clear, no distorsions. Light is sufficient, just right. Brightness setting is memorised, just press button twice to put off. It stays put where you left it and the angle of the lense is kept when you move it up and down. Very pleased with my purchase. Better than the one I have at work.

Fehlersuche endlich komfortabel

massive 7" lens + LED lighting = great workbench companion
it's a bit pricey ($ 206 total) but I got tired of my dollar store mickey mouse magnifying glass so I swallowed the price of this one - and it was worth it. This bench top magnifiying glass dominates a viewing area 7 inches in diameter; AND has a 3 step brightness level LED light which illuminates the work area perfectly - this is perfect for electronic prototyping ( I do Arduino/Elegoo projects) and this helps a lot. It was worth it.
