Hi, what is the difference between the black and the slate, other thatn the $50 difference? Thank you.

Yarrgggh one be the darkest black like the ink of the Kraken, the other be the deepest grey like the mists of the sirens yaarrrgh

My current clicker does not work with zoom. i can not move the slides forward or backward I have to use the mouse pad. Will this one work?

yes it does, however the spot light feature (which is awesome in live presentations with LCD projector or LCD TV screen) doe not work within Zoom

Window focus: for pc + projector setups, will the device continue to change slides even when e.g. powerpoint app is not the window in focus on the pc?

NO. This will only advance the slides when PowerPoint has the focus. If you're a multi-tasker with multiple monitors, don't bother. I've used mine ONCE in 8 months.
