Daana Safflower Oil: Certified USDA Organic, Extra Virgin, Cold Pressed, High Oleic (12 oz)

I have used safflower oil for several years on my skin, great moisturizer/ skin softener . Amazon did not have what I have been ordering; so I tried this product. It was a little more expensive but I needed it so ordered . It looks good, rich gold color. However the smell is repugnant. I can not stand to use it. I tried adding a few drops of essential oil to a small amount of it - not much better.

This stuff reeks. Smells like it’s been used to fry chicken before they bottled and shipped it. Truly horrible. Going to try and use it to clean paintbrushes. Added clove oil to some of it, but despite the strength of the clove oil, it could not overpower the rancid stench of this oil. Look elsewhere.

Used this oil for making lotion. The smell isn't strong, almost like a sunflower, and it's a light oil. It feels oily when first applied, but it soaks in quickly, leaving my skin feeling rich and moisturized, but not at all oily or wet. Very good quality. I felt like I had used a lot, but looked back and had barely dipped into the bottle, so I'd say it's quite a bit of product for the price.

The smell is extremely strong, smells like toasted sesame oil. Which is strange to me, other safflower oils I have purchased do not have an aroma. I use this for massage normally, but I can't use this on clients as the scent is too potent. I appreciate the fact that this is organic and cold pressed, which may contribute to the strong smell.

I am using this oil for my griddle on my gas stove. I read that Safflower oil works well. I have oiled the griddle twice and it seems to be working nicely. It doesn't leave a taste on the food and makes the griddle nonstick. I have not used this oil to cook with, so I cannot attest to that. The color is exactly like the picture and looks clear.

Bottle was so small for the price, will not buy it again not worth it.

Flavor is great, love cooking with this.
