Invaluable tool
The Focusrite SCARLETT SOLO 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface is hands down one of the best purchases I have ever made as a musician. As a solo artist, having a reliable and high-quality audio interface is crucial to my recording process, and the SCARLETT SOLO has exceeded all of my expectations.First of all, the sound quality is exceptional. With a 192kHz sample rate and 24-bit resolution, every nuance of my recordings is captured with incredible clarity and detail. The preamp is also incredibly clean, which is essential for capturing the full range of my vocals and acoustic guitar.Another great feature of the SCARLETT SOLO is its ease of use. The interface is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive, and I was able to set it up and start recording within minutes of unboxing it. The Pro Tools First software that comes with it is also a fantastic bonus, and has helped me to streamline my recording process and take my music to the next level.Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the Focusrite SCARLETT SOLO 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface. Its high-quality sound, ease of use, and bonus software have made it an invaluable tool in my music-making process. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned professional, I highly recommend this audio interface to anyone looking for an exceptional recording experience.

Nice.
Easy install, and sounds great. I only need one mic input, so get the next model up if you need two.

Just what I needed for my Heil PR40 for my podcast!
I've been podcasting since 2015 and last year I splurged and bought a nice Heil PR40. I ended up buying a small SoundCraft Notepad-5 mixer and it was really complicated to get all the settings just right (I had to call the manufacturer several times to get help).Recently the mixer started acting up and I couldn't get it to work, so I contacted Heil about the best audio interface to use for their mics for podcasting and connecting it to a computer and they recommended FocusRite Scarlett (and one or two others). I heard from several other podcasting friends who use the Heil PR40 and several also recommended FocusRite Scarlett.I ordered it and it came in about 2 days (I was warned it might be a few weeks). Could not have been easier to set up. And FocusRite has a really good online onboarding scheme, complete with videos that show you how to do everything (which isn't much really - it's not complicated). While I'm a podcaster, I'm not an audio expert and don't want to have to be one either. I just wish I'd bought this audio interface when I first made the move to the Heil PR40.Bonus - when I was considering purchasing this Solo, I messaged FocusRite a few times and they were very responsive answering my questions. After I purchased it I did have one question which was promptly answered.

Perfect solution for Mic Quality
You will like the simplicity of this Audio Interface and ease of usage. It will turn your Condenser Mic into an easy connection to your PC through a Type-C to USB cable. You control the gain so even if your mic doesn't have this feature, this Audio Interface will add it to your Mic.Nice budget item for condenser microphones.

I didn't know it functions as an external sound card
Silly me. I wasted time with a garbage item for years, a mixer that had static in recordings. Meanwhile, this little Scarlett thingy is amazing. My only complaint, and the reason why I gave it 4/5 stars, is because there's not a separate knob for microphone monitoring volume. The only knobs are the microphone volume and the direct monitor volume, and the direct monitor affects *all* sound going into your headphones. The problem with this is that you want to record in a way where you peak at -18 dBfs so that your recording comes out as clean as possible with headroom for adjustment in the mixing process. For this to work with you actually able to hear yourself, you'd have to have a feature in the DAW that adjusts recording volume. It would be much, much easier if the microphone had its own independent monitoring knob.

Left side only working?
are you dealing with just the left side of your recordings working, just switch the input to mono on whatever software youre using and you should be able to hear on both sides of your headset

The free 3 month Splice plan is a lie
Nowhere in the description, as of May 9th, 2023, does it say that you have to be a new splice member to get this deal. I have contacted Splice and Focusrite numerous (20+) times, and neither will do anything about it. Yet nowhere does it say NEW MEMBERS ONLY.I'm so tired of money hungry corporations doing this stuff. It's so misleading. Right now, I'm just hoping the other software will work. Won't be surprised if something else goes wrong.Don't trust this company with your money.
