Tastes good but smell might bother some of you
First of all it's not paste consistently it has some chunks of bean's as well, and to sum up the taste I would say it's like achaar sort of but not that bitter and sour more of saktey, it has msd in it so if you're someone allergic to MSD avoid it. Rest taste is yum please taste the salt and spices of this sausce before using it. Only con for me was the smell of fermented beans with I guess garlic it's quite strong for me I am usually not that sensitive will smell but this gave me headache.

Their chilli sauce is better than this black bean sauce. It tastes nothing like black bean sauce. 1-star for delivery

If you aren't into fermenting your own beans and want a bit of the authentic old Tangra taste of Calcutta Chinese cooking for this product. Absolutely love it. Nothing else here on Amazon comes close to this taste.
