Just what you would hope for
Dope all around album. At first, I thought it started a little slow but after the second listen I heard more of the complexities and really enjoyed the first half as well. The second half is my favorite even after first listen. The thing with Madlib production is that there are so many layers that you really have to listen to it multiple times, in the least - to truly grasp all the components to his production. Freddie Gibbs is so dope lyrically and continues to try out new things and progress as an MC. This is definitely not a part 2 let down. I will consistently bang this joint in heavy rotation for awhile. Nauxjonkeith.

Beats and Rhymes!!! Can stop listening!
This is an instant classic! I dont usually buy music (mostly listen on Prime, Pandora or Spotify) but when I heard both singles Crime Pays and the Andersen Pakk joint I knew I came across something pure! Was a fast fan of Freddie back on Pinata & kinda dug the self title released Freddie. From the midwest so I get a lot of what hes saying. And dont EVER sleep on Madlib...production at his finest in an trap setting, that is desperately needing some versatility! Hands down album of the year for me!!!

Freddie Gibbs has to be a top 10 rapper for me personally I just love his beats and relaxed vibe. This album is amazing Madlib and Freddie Gibbs killed it. If you listen to Freddie Gibbs just know you’re loved.

Outro on the last song was scratched.
Outro on Soul Right was scratched and wouldn’t play until the end, but I don’t rlly mind because it’s literally the last 30 seconds of the entire album lol. Also it’s kinda fitting because the end of Soul Right is a record suddenly stopping, which is what the vinyl does, so it’s kinda ironic lol. Besides this though, the rest of the vinyl is fine and 🔥.

Not better than Madvilliany. But, damn close. Some of the sample selections proves Madlibs genius. Gibbs is his usual boisterous, braggadocious, real self. With Madlib though Gibbs always shows a level of dexterty and athleticism in his lyrics. The themes might resemble other. But, the tape don't lie. This is a great album.

Fire Album
Fire album all the way through. One of my favorites from the year it released. Haven’t played the vinyl yet, so the 5 stars was directly for the album and the cover art.
