00667489 Bosch Appliance Boot Gasket

After our original gasket became cracked after 10+ years of normal use, we purchased this product based on the description and reviews. We properly installed the new gasket (my husband has a PhD in Physics and works on machines daily). We were delighted and began to do laundry as normal. Literally 5 days after the Amazon product return window, just over a month after installation our washer flooded the laundry room. Upon inspection, we found this huge hole as seen in the picture. Nothing but clothes in the washer and only 3/4 loaded at the time. What the heck! This is clearly not an OEM product and likely a cheap imitation. Really? Our first gasket lasted over 10 years and never had a hole like this, just some cracks that eventually turned into leaks that required replacing the original gasket. BEWARE of this “deal” as it ain’t so great after all. Back to the drawing board for us and another “fun” gasket install.

The old gasket was leaking and I am a bit of a DIY sort of person. The replacement kit comes with the clamps you need. (In fact one more than you need).It is a little tricky to get on but not that hard. Watch a video or two, unplug your machine and you can probably do it.Really important to get the right gasket as the gasket you need changes with the serial number of the machine. Check online to make sure you get the right one.

This part is an Exact Fit for WFMC5301UC Nexxt Series front load washing machine. It appears to be NOS.

Picked up another one of these, as i replace them about every 3 years due to being dirty and my lack of using white vinegar to keep them clean. Very happy with the product.
