Rumble Jar - Next-Gen Cold Brew Coffee Maker for Mason Jars - 200 Micron Filter Is Ideal for Coarse Grounds & Stronger Coffee - Standalone Filter (Mason Jar not included)

This filter is designed for use with a mason jar, but I ordered it hoping to use it with a larger pitcher. It works! My pitcher’s neck is a little wider than a mason jar’s, so I need to be careful with the filter lid to make sure it doesn’t slip off the filter (I think the seal could be a little tighter), but it’s still very easy to use. Way less mess than just mixing the grounds and water together and filtering later. My partner thinks there’s a slight taste difference because the grounds don’t come into as much contact with the water when using the filter, but I can’t notice a difference, and did I mention the quick clean-up?! The filter is also great for iced tea. I haven’t tried this yet, but you could use it for infusing spirits, too (you’d still want to use something with a finer mesh, like cheesecloth, to get all the stray bits).

I got tired of having to make a daily trek to DD to satisfy the wife's Iced Coffee habit. Decided to start cold brewing coffee, and making her drinks here at the house. What a great decision! The Rumble Jar is super easy to use, and produces an excellent tasting cold brew coffee with every type of bean I've yet tried. Once brewed, I keep the mason jar(s) in the fridge - and when I make her coffee, the pre-chilled coffee doesn't melt all the ice in the cup, and doesn't over-dilute the beverage. Not gonna lie - when we do occasionally get one from DD while out and about, she never fails to tell me that it isn't as good as what we make at home. As unfair as it may be, the old adage is true: Happy wife, happy life. If there's one downside to cold brew, it's the time it takes. If you run out, there's no way to speed up the process. To that end, I now have two of these (the larger size Rumble Jars), and four 64oz mason jars in the rotation, making sure there's always plenty on hand in the fridge, and that I can always have a substantial amount of additional coffee on the way.

This filter is very simple and easy to use. The rubber stopper/lid is very convenient for using in different types of containers. It is easy to load and clean, however the mesh could be a little finer. I see a decent amout of sediment leak through when I remove it due to the water being gently pushed through. This isn't a big complaint as it is fairly minimal. I would definitely recommend this product at the very reasonable price I bought it at. May even buy another in the near future.

I use the Rumble Jar for cold brew coffee and cold brew tea and it works well for both. It comes with a 100% cotton bag that can be used as a second filtration step and it is worth it to remove the small amount of grounds left behind from both the coffee and tea. I add fruit to it when making tea and it does well with infusing the flavors. I also use yerba mate loose leaf tea, so if you have a finer tea it might create more grounds. Again the cotton bag filter will solve that problem. The best thing about the filter is the cap that comes with it. I don't have to worry about coffee grounds or tea leaves on the top of the lid or the metal strands the come loose and stick out over time like when I used the cone mesh filters. This will be the only filter I use from now on!

I bought two of these for the 64 oz mason jars and they are so easy to use and I like how I can have cold brew in 12 hours (counter) or 24 hours (fridge), depending on my schedule. The instructions are super easy to understand and I follow all of them EXCEPT I pour the water into the jar first then add the filter with coffee instead of carefully pouring the water in after the filter is inserted. Since I use the same jars every time, I know the max water line I can fill to without spillage. I was sick of buying overpriced iced coffee all the time or making a hot pot and leaving it out to cool, then put it away. This solved both of those issues. The only issue I have is that the stainless filter is slightly difficult to clean because a significant amount of grinds get stuck in the bottom of the filter. Since we are on septic so I can't rinse the grinds out with water and send them down the drain, but this issue doesn't prevent me from using these every single week.

It could not be any easier, I quizzed a local barista on how they produce cold brew. With this device its a snap! Load it with coarse ground coffee, put it in a 1 quart mason jar. Fill it with cold filtered water. Give it a shake or two and place in the refrigerator for 20 hours. The result is a smooth refreshing coffee with one hell of a caffeine kick. I’m sold for summer mornings and its not $5 a cup like Starbucks charges

Being recommended this product from a colleague I was uncertain of how successful it would have been, alas I pleased to report i LOVE the product and would be again as a gift for my coffee loving friends.

The rumble jar is so quick and easy to use it should be used by anyone making cold brew coffee. The clean up is simple. It's one of the best products I have bought. I have had no need to use the cloth filter bag as the cold brew from the filter is perfect. Fill course grind coffee into the filter.( I like mine strong so I fill up to the 2nd mark and place in kilner jar. ) Fill with bottled spring water then brew for 24hrs in the fridge or 12hrs on the counter. Easy as that. Buy it and you will not be disappointed.
