Super Book
The book is wonderful! There is a lot of great and inspiring information in there. I love the story format combined with the technical information. Color pictures are helpful too, giving me a good idea of how things should/could be done for my own land and home. This book along with the Graywater book I ordered as the set have already been borrowed by a co-worker giving inspiration to him as well. If anyone reads this, perhaps also look up this author's TED Tucson talk. It is funny along with the serious, but also completely inspiring to move forward and put the ideas in this book into practice. He also has lots of other helpful videos. One thing I did that could be helpful to others when following the guidelines in this book is that I looked up my property in Google Maps. I made it the largest I could get it, then put all of it together using paint with screen shots. Once printed, (several pages), I taped the pages together and can now mark out how and where to implement this from a (mostly) real time image of my property. I can't wait to get started!

Fast Shipping and Quality Material
I first heard of Brad through his work on YouTube and wanted to know more. This book covers a lot of basics on rainwater, shade, and solar harvesting.Brad gives us formulas for figuring out how much rain we can collect from our roof, as well as how much rain falls on our property. He shows how to design catchments to move the water across the land using materials and methods that will prevent erosion.I am not mentioning everything he covers, because I am not here to write a book.I pray the western half of the US will start covering this doctrine in schools. We need more people using these common sense methods to break away from dependency on vanishing commercialized resources.

Rather ironic
Requesting for a replacement since this rainwater harvesting book was heavily damaged upon delivery by rain. Was left out in the elements.

Inspiring and practical
Water is Life. Inspires me to care for water and create a food garden and life that is hopefully regenerative. Looking forward to using practical instructions to increase groundwater reserves and support my family. Highly recommend.

Fills important niche in water harvesting literature
This text fills an important niche in the water harvesting literature, including a good introduction to passive and active water harvesting along with many helpful technical reference appendices. A great resource for DIY projects and neighborhood-scale efforts in particular, the new edition includes color images to help illustrate ideas as well as content that has been enhanced from prior editions. Written from a strong permaculture perspective, so some elements require reader interpretation/adaptation in different applications and contexts.
