Stanley 0-12-315 Replacement plane iron, Silver

Much better than used offerings elsewhere. Needs touching up with diamond or water stones, 600 and 1000 minimum.

Great blade for the price. Came from the UK in perfect condition. Was flat and sharp enough to use right out of the box. Would buy again.

As advertised, works fine

This is advertised as a stanley bench plane replacement iron. That would mean it's width should be aprox. 2". This plane iron is 1 3/4" wide and will not work properly in a standard stanley plane. The product details also give the wrong length at 45mm, ( that is actually closer to the width). The picture I included would have been helpful in the sellers ad. as it has the width dimension on the front of the package.

Lame non aiguisée d'origine, j'ai du passer une trentaine de minutes à la ré-aiguiser sur des pierres à eauUne fois aiguisée correctement, coupe parfaitement et semble tenir le tranchant.

Si c'est le bon fer, par contre l'image peut être trompeuse car il n'y a pas de contre-fer contrairement à ce que l'image pourrait laisser croire.

... doch das gute Markenteil sein. Im Prinzip habe ich mich über meinen Faithfull No. 3 gefreut, plan, winklig, Mechanik läuft leicht und präzise. Daß das Eisen "nix kann" (selbstverständlich nach sorgfältigstem Anschliff), trübt einen guten Eindruck. Aber mit DIESEM Eisen, halt das Stanley-Original, macht der Hobel Spaß, das sind jetzt die in der "Tube" so gern propagierten und vorgeführten "papierdünnen Späne". Gefällt mir sehr. Und daß das Teil am Dienstag morgen gegen 1 Uhr bestellt und gleich am Mittwoch mittag geliefert wurde, macht auch gute Laune. Gerne 5 Sterne ...

Mio suocero aveva la necessità di questo ricambio per un attrezzo acquistato forse 50 anni fa...dopo aver cercato in tutta la città e aver fatto continuamente buchi nell'acqua mi ha chiesto di cercarlo e gli sembrava impossibile che lo trovassi così facilmente a un prezzo super accessibile! A+
