This safe is wonderful! I put it in a bar I just bought. All deposits go through the drop every day and I am the only person that can get them out. Love it!!!!!!!

The drop door could be a little bit wider, standard bank bags do not drop easily often have to bang the door a number of times to get the bag to drop, says the bolts to bolt the safe to the floor needs a 1/2 inch drill but mine required a 5/8 drill , also description says 9 volt battery for electronic lock included but they must have forgotten to include one for my safe.Mostly works for my application.

Could be a 5 star.
I purchased this item about 3 months ago. The key lock on the top door has broken twice and had to be replaced twice. The customer service from the company has been very good through accommodating my situation and providing prompt action with replacing the bad locks. I would give this a 5 star if the top lock was never an issue.

I received the safe and set it up in my office. The top locker worked ok, I locked and unlocked it several times to make sure that everything was fine. With confidence I then put into it my Ipad that I need every day to conduct business. And lo and behold, the locker would not open again. I tried again and again, even went on line to find a solution, but only found suggestions and techniques for cracking the lock open! I called Mesa safe, and was sent to voice mail. Eventually I had placed 3 voicemails with no answer. I had to leave the country on family business. When I returned I again called Mesa Safe, this time I got a call back in two days time. I was told to send photographs of the safe, lock, keys etc which I did within 10 minutes of the request. I was told that I had been given the "wrong keys"!! I was told someone would get back to me the as soon as they had received the pics. One week later, no answer, no mail no phone call. I emailed, threatening action. I got a call in an hour, the representative claimed he had been very busy and so could not call me back or even email me. He asked that I email him a receipt, which I did within mins. I requested they expedite the correct keys to me. I have been told they cannot do that!!I am now stuck with a safe that functions only as a drop box (the bottom half). I cannot use the Ipad, to place orders for my business, thus upsetting my vendor, and also increasing my work load. Sending the safe back is not an option, because of the Ipad that is locked in the lock box!Mesa have been ridiculously slow and insensitive in responding to this problem, and finding a timely solution. Their customer service has been appalling, and lack lustre. They do not deserve my future business,I did call a local lock smith (even though the safe is in warranty) and was given a $150 estimate to come around, open the locker and replace the lock and supply a new set of keys! Is Mesa going to refund this money to me? Dealing with safes when they go bad is always going to be a problem, but dealing with badly constructed safes, wrong keys and terrible customer service is wholly unforgivable. We have decided as a business group of several businesses to now avoid Mesa safesToday is the 8/3/16, I just received the new set of keys, and guess what? The new keys do not work! I have emailed the rep I was working with and also left a voice mail on their help line. Lets see what happens.

Reasonable value, not the best quality.
I have purchased two of these for daily business use. On both safes, the cam lock that secures the upper compartment has broken off as its made of a very flimsy material and is not well constructed. The original seller was quick to provide a replacement lock but the second referred me to Mesa Safes directly, who has been nearly impossible to speak with. YMMV, but expect to have to replace the cam lock at some point.

Sturdy Well Made Safe
Very sturdy. Small interior, but the drop cash function is what we were looking for. It came with a bolt down kit, but our locksmith used his own bolts. The top part opens with a key which is nice because I can leave the petty cash there for my supervisors while the larger amounts of cashed are dropped and only available via combo.
