DEFEETMen's Hi-Top Sock

I got these for a backpacking trip on Appalachian Trail mainly because they were lightweight and had a good quantity of wool in them. They have been FANTASTIC socks. They wick well by themselves and for hiking I used poly-pro sock liners. I now keep a pair in my Bug Out Bag because I like them so much. They also work very well for cooler temps in the sleeping bag to keep my feet warm. I just keep a clean pair in there and when I crawl in the bag after the days hike put on clean dry socks.Update: Nov 2013: These socks continue to amaze me. They have begun to pill a little, but they are still very functional. There is enough wool in them that they keep my feet warm and dry and yet they are not binding. I keep a pair by the bed so I don't wake up with cold toes. (Being as tall as I am, that has always been a problem in winter.) They also work well as biking socks in cool temps.Update: Sept 2015 Well it finally happened. The heel wore through where my heal bone rubs it. I would say getting 5 years out of these socks is a very good bargain. I have used them for bike rides since my original trek on the AT. They pull the moisture off and keep my feet from getting funky. Still recommend them. Not great for cold but perfect for cool weather.

I have been wearing socks longer than I can remember and these are hands down the best. I am a cyclist and found defeet through the scene. But now I wear them daily and on long rides. Very comfortable, durable, breathable and look great.I rate them all the stars.

These socks are thin, but keep my toes nice and warm. I think they are a little pricey, but I will buy more of these.

Good socks but hi top is deceptive. These are crew top. That said they are better than the Nashbar logo'd DeFeet socks.

These thin wool cycling socks are great for in-between temps (55-70 degrees) that are too warm for the thick Woolie Boolies and too chilly for the thin Aireators. They are a quality sock - I have been using a pair for a year and have worn them probably 25 times and they are still elastic and have not stretched out yet. They are expensive for a single pair of socks, but so far they seem like they will last quite a while, at least a couple years, so perhaps you get what you pay for. I like the 5" rise, as they cover your ankles and keep them warm, but they are not so tall that they seem like soccer socks.

Suffer from really bad circulation in hands and feet , yeses socks might just be the answer to one problem , yet to test it out in the minus temperatures yet
