Very Handy, No Problems
I purchased this product because I was going to be doing a lot of video recording, and that drains the battery way too fast. The product worked just as good as any "brand" product would have, at a fraction of the cost! No lose connections or rattling, or anything. Fits nicely in my very small camera bag. Only thing I would watch out for is overheating your camera after long use! Not the products fault but still a concern to be aware of.

quality problem
I purchased the adapter in the summer of 2011 and have given it light to moderate use that should not have had the slightest effect on the part in question. The wire frayed and shorted where the cord joins the adapter box plug on the camera end of the box. It worked fine for one year.

Zero Stars
Do not buy. Was 50% dead on arrival. Plug barely worked and was shorting out. Needed it for an event the next day and ended up having to run out and buy batteries instead. It's very cheap and I'm surprised it worked at all after having to open it up and try to jury rig it for the next days event. Not worth the money, almost ruined my next days event. Crap.

Lousy Quality - stick with brand name.
Terrible quality. It worked for about 2 hours, then completely broke. It's like the plug piece of the adapter is so weak that the connection will not stick. The power light blips on for a second and then off again. I've tried everything, and it just won't provide power as expected. Should have bought the Canon brand...

HQRP Kit AC Power Adapter and DC Coupler
I'm using this adapter to take still pictures with a Canon Rebel XS and so far no problems at all, I didn't have to make any modifications to the cable or the coupler and I have the camera on all day so let's see how long does it last!

Works just fine.
I just couldn't see paying the Canon price for one of these, so I purchased one of these for my XS camera.When I moved up to a T3i I also bought on to fit it. They work great for both cameras.

Works Great for EOS Rebel
I was a little uneasy about cheaping out on the aftermarket, especially with so few reviews, though I can say it works great with my EOS Rebel
