Great Pic that our 2nd grade book club enjoyed
This month's 2nd grade book club (3 boys and 1 girl) really enjoyed this book. It took about 4-5 weeks for everyone to finish it by reading a few chapters a night. My son who generally doesn't like to read really looked forward to reading a bit each night and all the excitement and adventure with it. For book club we planned a scavenger hunt in the park with questions for the kids to talk abnout (favorite character etc.) then on to the next clue. I staged invisible capes and wands to fight off nims when they were captured... Everyone enjoyed and great read for all!

useful easy chapter books
Do I like the Droon books? Nope. I find them to be only slightly better than the Magic Tree House books as far as writing and story. I don't think they make good read aloud books. But my students love them. They are the most popular "easy chapter books" that I own. As a reading tutor I've read the first couple of Droon books with students so many times I can pretty much recite them by memory. They fill a niche and I'm glad I have them. Reluctant readers will often choose these over just about any other series.

Wonderful
This book was a required reading for summer. My son is going into 4th grade and he loved reading it. Chapters were small, it included pictures and lots of action. He did amazing .

Interesting series...
This was one of my choices for my low level readers. It’s interesting. It has a decent plot and seems to love quickly. Just wasn’t as engaging as other really young books I’ve read. Maybe my taste is off. An easy reader for intro fantasy readers.

The main character is swept away on a journey and I truly remember feeling like I went along with him
I read this series as a 3rd grader - maybe a bit younger/older. It was one of my favorites. For starters, there are a ton of books in the series so I was never without a book. Also, the books completely opened up my imagination. The main character is swept away on a journey and I truly remember feeling like I went along with him. I'd suggest this book for any young reader. I just bought the book for my younger sister who is 7 years old. I think it will work well as a 'read on your own' fantasy book for her. I'm excited to see if she likes it!

Fun story.
My kids would have loved this story when they were 8-10 yes old. Fast paced action, but easy to follow, sparking the imagination. As a family we don't usually go for stories with magic, but this one seemed harmless enough. As a mom, I am interested in new series for my kids and decided to read this to see what kind of material is available for middle grade readers.

Great book.
I purchased this book for my bookshelf for my music students to read as a wait for the music lessons. They really like this book.

Great Adventure Series for younger kids
This series is great for either boys or girls (main characters are 2 boys, 2 girls). Three of the kids go down a secret staircase and enter the world of Droon. Here, they meet up with a fourth friend (who lives in Droon). They have adventures and are instrumental in saving Droon.Kids love this series. It is full of adventure. My kids read these books in Kindergarten and 1st grade. Great to get two of these books and read along with your kids. They are full of fun.Have fun reading

An interesting read for my 9 year old.
A story that caught the interest of my 9 year old. I like that it's part of a huge series. Not all books are in print anymore. I didn't find digital copies on Amazon but I did find them on Indigo.

Great, fantastic, wonderful!
Bought this book for my daughter (7). She is just venturing into reading 'proper books', rather than 'blue banana' etc. Biggest books she read before this were the 'Judy Moody' series (also excellent!). She is ploughing her way through these and after only one and a half weeks she is already on book three. She loves them, she loves that she can read them herself, she loves that they fantasy books which require a degree of imagination. She can't stop talking about them, she is so impressed, she is even lending them to her friends at school! Thank you Tony Abbott.
