I use this product in a commercial kitchen for beef patties and sliced bacon. I have gone through many different ones in the past and find this the best (but not perfect) so far: Pros: steel construction (does not rust like the cast iron ones). Light weight yet heavy enough for the smash method of cooking. Has a tray to keep it from touching other surfaces. The whole product seems well made and sturdy. Cons: depending on what you use it for and how long it can get a bit hot. I wish they had a silicon sleeve or something for the handle. Maybe a future version? I would have loved for it ti have been slightly heavier but thats just my preference. The tray is a good fit but if your working fast it would be good to have a slightly bigger tray. Overall I think this is the best one out there. The base is completely flat which is what I wanted.

If you are bbq lover and especially burger then this is for you, I usually do normal burgers but after watching videos on smash burgers, they show you that you use two bbq utensils but it’s difficult and sometimes the meat get stuck to the utensil, with this smasher is perfect , its heavy and the plate is around 5mm thick stainless steel, has good grip so you will never have to use fingers to push down, on my first attempt it wasn’t perfect but managed to squash it that it allowed me to fold the burger over the cheese, the only thing I didn’t like was the price, its far too expensive but as I use almost once a week it’s worth it for me

I needed a press for making smash burgers on a cast iron griddle. This thing is perfect, came beautifully packaged wrapped in tissue and in an almost gift style box. Really really impressed by this alone. The product is solid stainless steel, neatly spot welded and has a nice wight and thickness, I initially was going to purchase a cast iron bacon press, however cast iron cannot be washed without damage and careful heat drying. This thing can be used directly on the raw beef and chucked in the dishwasher. Highly recommended and now tempted to get some other Fennek items. Nice little drip try also if your making burgers in large numbers. Really good buy, a little pricey but worth it.

Honestly can't find a reason to not give this 5 stars. It's solid and heavy metal, easy to use, easy to clean and the flat surface is perfect for making smash bugers. The price is for the premium experience you get when using this tool, you're never going to need to buy another one unless someone steals it from you. You buy someone a smash burger press as a gift they are not going to have their minds blown... you buy them THIS smash burger press It's like an actual gift, it's got a nice box, well made, good design. No second thoughts on this purchase, love it!

Product shipped fast and was received in nice semi-bespoke packaging with a nice insert and sticker. The product itself is heavy, feels well made and is precision cut from steel. The base plate fit perfectly. I used it to make smash burgers on top of a flat cast iron plate above my gas bbq grill. It works about 100% better than squishing with a spatula. really impressed and happy I paid a bit more for a nicer item.

Makes the best splat burgers. Yeah boiiiii. If you're trying to create the perfect burger you need this in your life. It's just one in a number of elements required for the perfect burger. You need to make your own brioche buns. You need to make your own burger sauce. You need to splat the burgers thin thin and you need to use American cheese. That is all.

This thing is great - heavy and sturdy, it also has a base so you can put it down somewhere without getting raw beef or oil on your countertop. One tip - I'd still use a slice of parchment paper between your ball of beef and the smasher, it's not quite as non-stick as it claims to be (but it is pretty damn close).
