What are the PAR ratings for this?

Finnex's webpage has a chart that shows the PAR rating for each of their models. Note that the ratings are for the 48-inch model and were taken at 14 inches through open air. It doesn't say whether these ratings are maximum or average (a distinction I saw on another manufacturer's models).

I'm usually only home at later hours toward the evening. Will this be bright enough for me to enjoy my fish at night? I'm worried it will be too dark.

You can customize lighting from bright-full-on to completely dark for eight different 3-hour time blocks. So, if you work the late shift, you can set your light to come on at 6PM or 9PM and go off or go dim at midnight (12AM) or 3AM - totally customizable. I love that I can bring the lights on dim first 3 hours, then lighter, then full on, then dimmer, then off so I don't startle my fish, LOL. I also like that you can adjust the number of white, red, green and blue led bulbs that come on, so you can have a reddish, bluish, or greenish hue to the lighting at beginning or end of your day, then full brightness for two 3-hour periods (6 hours total for live plants).

Q: My tank is 31,5" Will the 30” work?

yes the brackets extend out past the light like 2" on each side

does the 24/7 cycle put out enough light to grow some low/medium light plants well? I have a 29G that is 18.5" tall tank.

Yes. You may actually need to decrease the intensity. I have a 29g as well and I have it on for 6 hours at lowered intensity. Plants are doing well and I'm not getting algae.
