Contour Next EZ meter

So far, so good! I like this one better than my one touch glucometer. I was able to easily figue out how to turn off the beeping sounds with the instructions. This meter, so far, seems more accurate then one touch, and I've experienced less difficulty with blood absorption on the strips.

I have been a diabetic now for about 7 years. In the beginning, I admit that I had difficulty keeping my sugar under control. I have tried several types of glucometers and some of them were too challenging. They were not easily understood, or they required too much blood so that I had to prick my finger more than once. I stumbled upon the Contour Next EZ meter some time back and it has been a game change for checking my sugar. It requires a minimum amount of blood on the test strip, and it registers right away. The numbers appear large and are easy to read. I would strongly recommend this product especially for beginning diabetics.

I formerly was using the Contour Next blood glucose meter and was very happy with it. Saw the ContourNext EZ meter on Amazon and wanted to try it. It is very accurate (as was my former meter), very easy to use...and a great price! I liked it so well I sent for a second EZ meter as a backup one. I definitely would recommend this meter.

I am not happy with this meter because I already had a Contour Next meter and ended up have to buy a different container of test strips and this meter does not send results to my phone like my other meter.

So far this meter is proving to be reliable and accurate. Other meters often fail becasue there is insufficnet blood. This requires anothe test strip and another finger stick - ouch! Such events are less frequent with this meter and the associated test strips.

Keeps track of my sugar.

As I still have 200 strips for this model, and am familiar with it, I searched high and low to find another, especially in a timely manner. Of course, just when I want 1 day Prime, no such luck.Anyway, unlike my six year ago purchase, this comes with the carrying case, lancets, sticker thingy, and 10 strips good to 10/21.Here are some hints that may help you. First, lancets are good for at least a couple of dozen sticks. No need to renew for each one. Try it. Second, you can buy unexpired and expired strips on eBay at great savings. I have used five year old strips and the worst error I've seen is 3 points compared to a new, in date strip. That, folks, is truly margin of error differences. It doesn't matter. Just make sure that the little snap lid jar is unopened.Years ago I bought the USB cable to download results. I got it working way back then, but darned if I can now. It has to do with Java. YMMV. If that's important to you. Hmmm......maybe it will work again with this new meter. Technology!
