Haribo Gummi Candy, Techno Bears, 5-Pound Bag

I was a little put off on getting these at first because of the reviews I read here but I'm glad I did decide to take a chance and pick a bag of these up. I honestly think some of the reviewers may have gotten an old or bad batch. The one I received doesn't taste at all anything like the others described. No medicine or toothpaste taste or weird undesirable flavors. They a aren't hard or tough to chew at all either. The bag I received came pretty quickly to me from Amazon.The bears were really really soft and fresh. When I opened the bag they smelled wonderful. Just a mixture of all those great flavors in one great yummy aroma. The bears are a little bit larger than the regular Haribo gold bears. The flavors of the techno bears is just as bright and shiny as they look. They really do look neat! I took my first one out the bag and popped it into my mouth. At first they tasted to me just like the gold bears but as I chewed some more I got some of that techno funkadelic flavor on my taste buds. I even started dancing a round a bit. Each bear has a distinct flavor. They taste more like berry flavors than anything else. If you ever had a bag of Skittles WildBerry candies (the purple bag) than you can pretty much guess how these taste because it's right at home.These are pretty much just berry flavored bears and I really like them. The blue ones taste kind of like "wildberry" I little zangy and sweet. The yellows taste kind of like Pineapples oddly enough, and the pink ones taste like a razberry/strawberry kind of mix. It's really a wonderful flavor. The bag is hefty though as there are a lot of bears. Normally I would bring something like this to camp with me for the kids to share amongst themselves but it's an open bag and not individual bags like the Clownfish I got so I can't our rules but I think I'll keep this bag in my own sweet tooth closet at home. Oh wow, I just wrote a very long review about gummy bears, who'd a thunk it?

I bought these for the candy table at my sister's wedding reception. These were a hit for so many reasons. First, the theme was peacock, so the colors and slight metallic shine went well. Second, my sister LOVES gummy bears. Third, a fun little play on the name, techno bears at a reception with techno music. This candy had to be refilled the most, it was so unique with all the other "normal" candies. Plus I must have ordered these a month before the wedding and they were still fresh and chewy when opened. I would highly recommend these to anyone, did at the reception with so many people asking where I found them.

Most of the flavors are okay, except for the blue which in the batch I received was either okay or absolutely unpalatable. The taste ranged from sweet-sour to bitter. The quality control is lacking. The rest of the flavors were okay, but I'm going to stick with the gold bears from now on.

First, these bears are BIG - if you've ever bought Haribo's Gold Bears for a snack, you'll be surprised that these are twice as large. Second, perhaps because of their bulk, they're not as easy to chew as the Gold Bears. Given Haribo's excellent quality, I don't think it's because the Techno Bears were stale, it's just that they're large and they seem to be a bit more firm. The flavors are good, but they do not precisely duplicate those found in Gold Bears. In sum, these are NOT just a shiny version of the Gold Bears that most people are familiar with - they are a distinct product with unique attributes that you may or may not like. Worth a try!

They were very tough and my teenage boys would not eat them. I ended up giving them to a friend with a young child who had less discerning taste. Candy is candy at that age.

Way too gummi. Chokes little kids. My grandkids loved the flavor buthad difficulty chewing and swallowing them (they are ages 7 and 4 and normallydo not have problems with gummi candies).

The Haribo Gummi Techno Bears are so fruity and fun to eat. The Techno Bears shimmer and shake and are so darn cute to squish between your fingers. The flavors are fruity and different from the regular Haribo Gold Bears, but the Techno Bears still have the nice and stiff chew. Of all the Haribo products I have tried, and I have tried a lot, the Technos are my favorite for more reasons than just the juicy and fruity taste. The flavors are unique with lots of berry goodness, which is not often found in gummi candy. Also, the shimmering bears make eating each one of these treats a good time. Yum, yum, yum!

Yummy flavor, and eye-catching colors. I like the different flavors, not the same as the standard gummy bears. Other reviews go into the flavors. After I opened this HUGE bag, I put a smaller amount in a resealable plastic container for snacking, and put the remainder bag in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag with a desiccant bag (those ones you always get in electronics packages) to keep out excess moisture. I labeled the smaller container TECHNO BEARS, so no one would mis-identify them as standard bears.
