This deck is delightful. Vanessa Decort worked on illustrations for children's books before creating this deck as part of her own Tarot study. What we get is a sense of whimsy with endearing figures that make you joyful to interact with cards. Often, we complain that the images on Tarot cards seem cold, distant, static, stagnant, and frankly, outdated. The Sun and Moon Tarot bypasses all of these uncomfortable elements to bring inviting, accessible images to the cards. Primarily based in the RWS system, she also incorporates a fair amount of Crowley's symbols, making it an approachable blend for students of either tarot line. The deck is printed on hefty matte card stock that feels a bit thicker than most U.S. Games decks. They shuffle and slide beautifully, feeling quite nice in your hands. I just got these today, and I absolutely love them! I bought 4 new decks hoping that one of them would resonate with me, and out of all of them this one appeals to me the most. It's bold, colorful and simplistic in it's imagery, but it's symbolism and innocence calls out to me like no other deck.I think this deck might become my new favorite (my old favorite is the Halloween Tarot). Out of all the other decks I have seen with all their fancy artwork and whatnot, the simplicity of these cards just catch the eye. The cardstock is nice and stiff, and the cards are laminated and slippery and easy to shuffle. The only thing that kind of bugs me is the fact that US Games printed it's logo on the side of the picture on each card. It's only a small gripe, but its there. All in all though, these cards are beautiful, and a new favorite. I highly recommend them if you read or collect tarot cards.

Lovely illustrations, but the keywords are not traditional. Many of the cards have some semblance of traditional symbolism. The colors are dark with a gloomy vibe, but the illustrations are lovely. The cards are thin and easy to shuffle. There is a coating on the cards that is somewhat protective. Nice price given the artwork. Easy to use and read. Comes with guidebook for beginners.

I bought and have been using these cards for my readings for a few months now and am tremendously pleased with them. as a long time "reader" i truly enjoy the fresh lively look of the characters on the cards, playful and sweet! perfect!! I would say that the most lovable thing about them is there complete ambiguity, the images are so soft and so asexual and so... SWEET they just call to mind grace and ease and a gentle approach to life in general so to use them to read for clients is a pure blessing. I love them dearly.

I purchased a traditional Rider Waite deck and they just sat there forever until I finally just threw them away. These cards really speak to me. I spend more time with them and I am learning more. The art work is beautiful. I love the interacial theme being mixed race myself. I have them in a little puch and I cary them everwhere. Last night I sat and talked with my church Pastor about them. He is a contemplative christian. I was raised traditional baptist and totally thought he would say that my cards are evil or something. But this is what he said. . . he told me that tarot cards are a good practice for me because they are helping me to look within myself for the divine wisdom and that part of the true spiritual journey is to seek answers from within and not always from without. He also said that practicing Tarot is like eating a good vegetable. It shouldn't make up your entire diet for every meal because you need other nutrients, but you should definitely include it because it is an essential nutrient itself (if it is your cup of tea). In short, I am satisfied :-)

I love this tarot deck. I am a beginner and it really made the cards "click" for me. I can look at the card and understand the meaning right away instead of running for my notes to decipher it. I noticed that some reviewers complained about the lack of detail on the card but it helps me not to be overwhelmed by too much imagery. Also since I am a bookworm I am used to "filling in the blacks" with my imagination and I think this deck helps me do that. I feel like I get a better perspective by using my senses to feel what a certain card is telling me. My favorite part of this deck is that the positive cards give positive vibes and the negative give negative vibes. I've tried a couple of different decks before and never felt that the very positive cards gave off a good vibe. I never really noticed the difference until I got this deck and I looked at my previous decks and felt the lack. All in all I would highly recommend this deck. I think it is beautifully made!

This deck speaks to me. The imagery is fun and relatable, but nothing spectacular. I bought it as a beginner deck and loved that so many cards had a little summary word up top to help me learn. I don't always feel (now as an experienced practitioner) that this word is the best choice but they helped me get started. But the thing about this deck that makes me give it 5 stars ten years after I first bought it is its energy. This deck has never steered me wrong. It's always been an honest yet kind and loving presence in my life. Some people love a catty deck that will read them to filth and there's a place for that, sure. But this isn't that deck. This deck is like a loving girlfriend that you've known forever who is going to tell you what she really thinks but in the kindest, most loving way she can. That's my experience with it anyway.
