ACT Meters GOLD-PLUS 6V/12V Intelligent Battery Tester with Ah calibration control

We found this tool to work exactly as described. Works great! Would recommend to test batteries.

I use these to test sealed lead acid batteries in alarm panels. My inspectors love them.

My company bought 2 of these and 2 of the smaller ones and tested side by side 3 different battery sets. One old 12v 7.2Ah and is know to be bad, one good 12v with 5Ah and the other good 12v with 7.2 Ah. After testing, the 2 smaller units tested very close to each other but the 2 like the one you see here, one tested 20% lower the other 38% lower than the smaller units. Enough of a difference that I would replace the batteries using this unit when the smaller units say they are good batteries. I question the consistency and accuracy of this Gold-Plus.BTW - the smaller unit that was consistent is the Gold not the gold-plus. I do really like the alligator clips, best I've seen. If you want one of these, call the company and get the smaller one, it's $10 more, and even shows the temperature.

Ah seems to measure high but it's a good to have ballpark readings.

This is a great device. it has no equal. a must have for any service professional. i highly recomend it.
