HTC Vive SteamVR Base Station 2.0 (Single) – Precision Room-Scale Tracking for PC VR, Black

Tracking has been excellent and it was easy to add to an existing SteamVR setup. If you're expanding your play space or replacing a unit, it slots right in without much fuss. Does what a base station should do.

Smaller and lighter than expected. Setup was relatively easy and they track as intended.

Like 90% of other reviewers, I was forced to spend the extra $50 for the same product with out a wall mount, so add another $15+ to get the same product you, should, be able to get from steam, but when there is only one manufacturer, they get to set the rules. That said this base station has been working as intended for the short time I've had it, it'll be interesting to see which last longer, Steam does a much better job of shipping these base stations.

These do not come with the mount and screw like the Valve ones came with…. Had to buy 2 mounts as an extra cost.

Like other reviews have stated there is no mount. You will have to buy a stand or mount separate. The cord is also a lot shorter (maybe about 5 feet) than the one that came with my Steam VR set. So plan accordingly. It is steamVR compatible. If this is your 3rd+ base station when you first start steamVR you may get notified that you need to change the channels on the base stations. The steamVR popup window will guide you through this process. If they add the mount and increase the length of the cord. I will raise it to 5 stars. This base station is $50 more than it is on the steam store (but at least it is available). edit: I had a mechanical failure under a year. HOWEVER vive replaced it for free and even has a recycling program for the old broken one. Because of this I am raising it to 5 stars for the time being (I will lower it back to 4 if this one dies under a year as well).

I'm so glad I got this, I got it as a third base station when I ordered my index, but it sady came with a broken base station so this one saved me, it connected and works great with my index and 3 trackers it is a little shaky and you can hear it but that could be user error, I've had it for almost 2 years and I'm so glad I got it, I'll be getting another one hopefully soon

I ordered 2 base stations in hopes to eliminate some blind spots from my other 2 in my VR room. Both base stations have the red light of death, faulty sensors and one even had a cracked housing. Very disappointed.
