Water Gear Chamois Towel - Fast Absorbing and Great for Drying - Use After a Workout and Diving - for Men and Women - Multi-Use (Aqua)

These towels are made from a material that is hard and stiff when dry, but become the best synthetic sponge available when wet. It is sold in a damp state so the buyer will not be put off by its very un-towel-like stiffness when dry. Inevitably, it gets set aside after use and drys and people think it is ruined. Not so, just thoroughly wet it again, then ring it out and it is ready for reuse. It is a personal towel the size of a handkerchief. It can not be beat for travel, pool, beach, boat, wherever you are constantly drying off and a regular towel would quickly saturated. It absorbs water better than any sponge leaving you nearly dry and it can be rung out to near dryness indefinitely for reuse. When wet, it has the soft lucurious feel of a chamois skin (which also works similarly but at much greater expense).I have used the original product, Trident D696 Chamois towels, for decades but mine were wearing out. I could not find a replacement and was suspicious of the WaterGear product because they were colored. The D696 looks like a leather Chamois skin. Until it started to delaminate, I thought it was a chamois skin. The WaterGear towels are the same material, slightly smaller but just as effective. I let mine dry out when not in use as they can ferment if left wet.

Seriously impressed with the quality and usefulness of this product! I brought this to the gym with me on a bike ride so I could grab a quick shower before heading out with some friends. It does an extremely good job at drying your skin. Almost so good it's shocking. I like how the clothe only takes up half the packaging too. I can put a bottle of shampoo and a little bottle of sunblock and some Chapstick in the container so it's all in one compact kit and can throw it right in my duffle bag!

Too small. I have purchased similar products before and this one is too small for your taste. Also, it would have been a good idea to make the logo more obvious so that it doesn't look like you're drying yourself with a car rag instead of a pool towel.

No problems at all with this, after a lot of use. It's just like the "name brand" one. I've been using this kind of "towel" for years. It's great for the pool. One caution though, this is meant to stay wet in the plastic container, so it is NOT what I use as a travel towel. I bring it out to the poolside and dry myself off after a swim so I don't drip all over the locker room. I use a regular towel to finish drying off, though it's not strictly necessary. If you swim a lot you should try it out. If you're not a swimmer I'm not sure if you'd like it.

I bought this because I wanted something better that would dry more quickly than store bought towels. I wanted something with which I could replace my bulky towels. This was not that! I was so excited to get this, but as soon as I opened the package and saw how small it was, I was very disappointed! It was smaller than my small hand towels! Complete waste of money! I sent it back and resumed my search.

I have been a competitive swimmer for six years and am the captain of my high schools varsity swim team. I can tell you that if you are looking for a high quality shammy, this is it. It works great and can dry me off very fast. It is compact and will stay fairly clean as long as you rinse it out after use. The only issue is when you first get it with the first few uses small parts will tear off, but after about two weeks there will be no more tearing and the small tears that do occur so not change it's effectiveness. I have used this for the past two years and will continue to use in the future.

Our daughter made the high school swim team, but they don't have access to lockers to store their gear. She needed a towel, and this chamois fit the bill perfectly. It is small, but it does the job. The container it is stored in fits neatly into her back pack. It has been used daily for over four weeks now and is holding up well. Would have liked a bigger one, but that's no reflection on the product. It dries her off after swim and we have no complaints.

I originally owned one of these towels when I swam Varsity in high school. They were great because they are small, lightweight, and incredibly absorbent. In addition, you can easily wring out any water that it has absorbed so it can continually be used, unlike a regular cloth towel.I purchased one of these to take on backpacking trips to take advantage of its light weight. I often go on multi-day hikes along rivers or streams and usually end up jumping in for a swim at some point. This towel makes it so easy to dry off afterwards and it is always an essential item I bring with me. I highly recommend.

Absorbe très bien après une baignade. et se range bien aussi. Première serviette efficace pour la piscine et même la plage.. En voyage très utile car prend peu de place.
