It was written by a MN author
Living in northern MN this story really hit home. Read it to my daughter’s kindergarten class and they loved it. The author came to their school and signed her copy.

Sweet book and lovely art work
This is a lovely story and the art work is very well done. I loved it so much I bought a copy for a family member who actually collects maple syrup.

More than just maple syrup making...
We first checked this book out from our local library... One of those good finds when you're just walking around looking for a few more books to fill up the library bag. Once we read it at home though, I knew I wanted a copy for our children. It's an educational book on all that goes into making maple syrup, but it's also a book about family and traditions and legacy which are vales I want to instill and foster in my children. Beautiful book. It's a book that I love reading aloud repeatedly, and the beautiful illustrations seem to offer something new each time I read it with my children.

Wonderful book. It will be great for our area ...
Wonderful book. It will be great for our area because there is a local maple syrup festival. I will read it to local school children and they will learn about an event that happens close to where they live.

Great book for the story of making Maple Syrup for a child
Purchased this book and gave to my granddaughter for Christmas. We love maple syrup and thought it was a great story for a child to understand how maple syrup is made. She just loved it and so did I.

Exceeded expectations, new family favourite!
My dad makes maple syrup so I wanted to find a book worthy of being a new family tradition at “sugaring off” time. This one exceeded my expectations. It’s beautifully illustrated, well written and the grandpa in the story even reminds my kids of theirs. Definitely going to be ordering more copies of this someday for grandkids to remember their “old Papa”!

Fabulous
There's nothing better than to be a child in the woods in the spring helping to make sugar. This book recaptures the feeling perfectly. The artwork is simply fabulous and the story is simple, gentle and educational. It has my highest recommendation.

Beautiful illustrations
The reason this book jumped out at me is because of the beautiful illustrations. The story shows the old-fashioned way of making maple syrup and is informative for children.
