Beautiful at great price
Gorgeous ceiling fan! Even more beautiful than I imagined! The details on the palm leaves are amazing! The fan is quiet and very powerful. Light is dimmable.( with remote, purchased separately) It was easy to assemble and install. I would highly recommend this exquisite fan!

Close-mount IS possible
The carved palm leaves are beautiful, and, once assembled, it is perfectly balanced and very quiet. I had a lot of problems with installation, mostly due to my particular situation (and possibly my inexperience). Here's what I learned. I really needed a close-mount and the product listing says in several places that it had a close-mount option, so I bought it. When the fan arrived, I was super disappointed to read in the directions that a flush mount or close mount is NOT an option for this fan. I wasted a lot of time putting it up anyway in pole mount mode because I really had my heart set on those carved leaf blades, but when finished, I had to admit there just wasn't enough clearance to make do with that safely or aesthetically. It was only when I went to write my angry return request that I discovered that the .pdf instruction manual in the product listing is DIFFERENT than the paper one in the box (even though the fan was the same). It WAS possible to disassemble the pole and mount it directly to the overhead motor, and the directions ARE in the .pdf manual on the product listing. Installation tip: Cover the open vents on the topside of the motor with masking tape before assembling. With the awkward angle and short screws (especially awkward for the close-mount), I managed to drop a screw TWICE into the open vent slots on the top side of the motor, resulting in having to take the whole thing back down and shake the screw out. The third time, I covered those vents with masking tape! Also, the ceiling canopy area is pretty small, so the old third-party remote receiver I already had wired to the wall switch for the old fan would not fit with this one; I had to replace that with one labeled as a "mini," which did work, but even that one was barely possible. Now that it's finally up, I love it.

Beautiful fan and light
I’ve used both Hampton and Honeywell fans in renovations. My opinion, Honeywell makes quality fans at affordable prices. I got this one for a buck twenty-five. Came with bowl lighting (not my favorite lighting, but the other option was more than it needed to be. Funding wise). The bowl provides adequate light, it’s just subdued. Bulbs are standard size (however replacing the bulbs is a pain). Installation was simple on a 3-way switch. Any good DIYer should not have issues with install. Motor is strong. Wood leaf arms look really cool, however, they are super light (feels like balsa wood, but it’s not). Wood is pieced/glued together (obvious on the underside. So, be really careful handling the wood arms. Overall: check out the picture. It’s a really cool looking light. Highly recommended. I plan I buying a few more for my home.

Almost Awesome
It is a great looking ceiling fan. It is whisper quiet. It is, surprisingly, well-balanced out of the box -- especially considering that the blades are hand carved. The installation, however, did not go smoothly. If you are following the standard or close-mount installation, then this will not apply. In our case, the angled ceiling installation was going well, until the canopy (which covers the mounting bracket) was installed. The opening in the canopy does not provide enough clearance and pushed the fan 10 degrees out of plumb. This was really, really noticeable. Fortunately for us, the old fan's canopy was reasonably close in style. We ended up disassembling and re-assembling the fan to use the old canopy and mounting bracket. The ceiling doesn't seem particularly steep, but, apparently, it is. The other issue is that the fan smells. A lot. It is hard to describe the smell: a disinfectant, solvent, metallic, old-electronics smell. Once we turned the fan on, the entire house smelled like a Chinese electronics assembly facility. Maybe this will fade over time. But, for now, it is rather annoying. Summary: The fan looks great, it's quiet, and easy to install on a flat ceiling, but the motor smells like old electronics.

Loving it !
It’s gorgeous, it’s strong, it’s perfect ! I wish I can say installation was easy, lol, but, that’s just because our home was built funky. My husband made it work and it’s perfect in our bedroom. The size is standard, can fit in almost any room! We’re loving it so far !

Was not what I expected
After reading reviews I was very concerned by the reviews that stated this fan was 1. Loud 2. unbalanced 3. did not move air. It was nice looking and so I took a chance anyway because it precisely fit into the decor style of my living room. 1. Was it loud? I could barely hear it. It was no louder to other fans I've installed. I think to get a completely silent fan I would have to spend hundreds more. 2. Was it unbalanced? No. I waited until I had time to install it so that I could spend a day to address balance issues. It was pretty easy for me to install and does not wobble AT ALL. The hard part was taking down the old fan. 3. Does it move air? Yes and no. On the lowest speed, I can just barely feel the air moving. Duh, that is the lowest speed. At the highest setting, it moved loose papers off of a table and the tall plants in the room had some swaying leaves. I have a smallish living room - 18' x 18' with a 12' ceiling. The lighting is very stylish for the rustic setting I have. Would I buy it again? Certainly. Would I recommend it to others? Well, I already have. I've been asked by others where they can get this fan. Are there better fans? Of course. However, I'm not willing to pay the much higher prices for one.

Beautiful fan
This fan is more stunning than in the picture. I have installed fans before, as an amateur, and found this a bit more challenging. If a person had more knowledge than I do, it likely would not be an issue. The instructions were fairly easy to follow, with a couple parts that I wish would have been expanded upon. As a result I did have to take it apart and restart the process, which doubled the time to get it up. In the end it is looking like a flawless installation, has been running steadily for a couple months and there is not a wobble in sight.

Beautiful and Functional
Bought this fan for my guest room as it in a walkout level basement bedroom that didn't have an conditioner. The light is bright enough to light the room well without requiring additional light sources, and the fan puts out a good amount of air movement on all speeds. Would purchase again!
