No mod needed for Millermatic 211-works great!
My welding is typically for smaller steel sculptures made from metal scrap. I have a Millermatic 211. The 1/2" bolt that comes with this Magswitch 300A ground clamp would not fit my cable end, so I went with 1/4 bolt and washers. NO need to modify my ground clamp end for a larger 1/2" bolt. Works perfectly! I struggled to get the standard spring clamp close enough to get a good ground. This solved my problems beautifully. I also put a 1/8" thick x 3/4" x 4.5" piece of steel on it as a handle and to protect the ground cable. Which I really like. Its easier to set in place and remove. I have arthritic small hands and the strong spring on typical ground clamp is difficult for me. I wrapped it all up with 1" wide Howies hockey stick tape. Im sure this could have been less bulky with just tape with out the zip ties but I know it will stay put!

Well fabricated
What a high quality piece. It’s a little bigger than expected but it’s good quality and it does holds to metal very good.

Never use an awkward clamp again. The ground magnet is great option.
I really love how handy this thing is for grounding weld leads. Excellent purchase. Released with ease. Strong hold. Would definitely recommend.

Great Magnetic Ground Clamp!
Was using a Hobart magnetic ground clamp before ordering this one. This Magnetic ground is of amazing quality has a super strong magnet and has a side cutout to easily attach to pipe or square tubing. What I like is the fin design that allows it to dissipate heat so it doesn't get too hot and lose its magnetism. You can also easily just turn the knob to turn off the magnet allowing you to easily remove the ground and easily clean any metal that is attached to the magnet. Overall this Magnetic ground is heavy and looks to be very well built I will order some more for my plasma and other machines. Highly Recommend this product!

Stays cool
Burned 5 lb of 5/32 7018 on 140 amps in one go. my electrode holder got hot enough to seize up and quit working until it cooled down.but with proper cleaning of the connection surfaces it had a good enough connection to stay cool enough to touch my cheeks to it i have purchased several of the clamps and have had good luck with them I had a cheaper brand I used before and didn't have the same results with the same prep I had one of the other brands on a mig welder in a shop setting and it got hot enough to loose magnetism and fall off . But not the same story with the magswitch.

Kind of disappointed with this thing
OK so I only have welded up to about 175 amps with it and it does fine as a ground clamp but the magnet isnt that strong. I have been using it on chromoly tubing doing a roll cage at about 100 amps and if I bump the ground wire its enough to pull it off the tubing. Havent needed to turn the knob at all to release it. Pretty disappointing for as much as it was.
