Extremely cheap-made - broke after first try
Incredibly cheaply made. Upon taking it out of the package... worked ONE time. Went to try again and it stopped working. The swivel just gets stuck in the wrong position and doesn’t “magically” go through any longer. Even though i didn’t pay much for it, I would have rather used this money towards a beer!

Broke pretty much instantly
I bought this as a novelty and it broke within a minute. I was using it as intended (it's just a switch) and the sword became offset after maybe 12 clicks and then was unusable.

Works Well
This toy is cheaply manufactured , in comparison to the old metal ones. However, it's priced accordingly. It works very well.

Not nearly as well made as the original
Doesn't work nearly as well as the older "bullfighter" version of the trick. Frequently, the sword gets stuck partly through it's slice, which exposes how the trick is done. Also lacks the hole in the crystal that the older version had, which could be used to to reveal how the trick is done, if you want to. Still, it does work most of the time, and it is amazing how it appears to make metal pass thru metal. Will even fool the purchaser the first few times you do it, since it is completely self working. I bought it instantly, as I haven't seen one since I had the Bullfighter version over 60 years ago. Oddly, when they decided to change the motif from a bullfighter to a pirate, they neglected to change the severed head. It remains the head of a bull.

Kids love it! We still haven't figured it out. Maybe it's really magic!
