why is mine not accurate?

Maybe the ammo? I tested a variety at the bench, 30 ft.: light and heavy domed, pointed, hp and wad cutters w/ 6 in. bbl. I had a couple go way off (Crosman HP; Crosman pointed), grouping 2+ inches or worse. But the best were Daisy wadcutters. These are consistently coming in a 1 inch-or-better groups for me at 30 ft. A full mag typically makes me one big 3/4 inch hole. The 8 in. bbl showed negligible difference and I've yet to try the 3in. Of course, these are benched shots, nice, snug and steady. Not nearly as good when I'm standing, but we know that's not the gun's or ammo's fault. Practice practice practice. And that's what i bought it for. And naturally I assume you're talking about pellets, because we all know better than to shoot steel bbs through a rifled barrel. They shouldn't have even included the bb magazine. If you haven't tried testing ammo yet, do it, see if it helps. I hope so, 'cuz this gun by far has become my best and favorite air pistol.

Why does this take 1-2 months to ship?

Mine came directly from Amazon and only took a couple of days. Wait for Amazon to have it back in stock. It will likely be cheaper and you will get it much faster.
