This pen looks better in the hand than it does on screen. It also writes well. The nib is classified as 'medium' but it is really a fine point, but that is not a criticism. Japanese medium nibs also write like fine nibs. This pen has no scratchiness when writing and the ink flows copiously without overspreading. There is no feathering and bleeding through even on medium grade paper.

OK but a step down for Xezo
For a relatively obscure brand, Xezo has always made high quality pens at very reasonable prices. Quality control has always seemed to be high and I've never found a Xezo to be less than immaculately finished and a super writer out of the box. Their nibs are smooth, precise and nicely wet. Always a pleasure to use.The Urbanite range is a step down in all respects. The pen feels light and insubstantial - typically Xezo pens run on the heavy and girthy side and, if you expect the same here, you'll be disappointed. The pen is small and light and the nib is tiny - it looks small even on a small pen. The nib agreed into the section with a little disk around the nib and this came loose as I was testing it leaving ink on fingers. It's easily tightened but shouldn't be necessary. The nib is marked as Medium but, in reality it's no more than a fine. Writes OK but not as described. The section is too small for comfort and is slippery.Sure, it's £48 but it's disappointing. A Lamy Studio is better value at this level.Hopefully, just a blip for Xezo and it'll return to form.

Buyer Beware! This is a great pen, as long as you don't want to write with it!!!
I had originally bought this pen in the thoughts of buying more for gifts. The pen itself is very nice and feels good to write with, but is essentially useless. I used it for about a week and it stopped working. I have tried multiple cartridges but the ink just doesn't flow very well and in a short period of time, even though the cartridges are still full of ink, the ink stops flowing. I wrote an email to support in the hopes that they would offer some assistance and that I could have left a positive review. However, I have had no response whatsoever. I would suggest you do not buy this pen. Four dollar fountain pens from the local craft store work far better than this pen unfortunately.
