best ribbon I've found so far!
I decided to try a couple different ribbon manufacturers for my Olympia SM3 and Monica de Luxe typewriters. I've included a page sample from this ribbon and another manufacturer. (Sorry, but this is the only sample I still have of the other ribbon manufacturer, and I wasn't going to swap out ribbons again just to type a better sample.)These EBS ribbons leave a more crisp impression on the page, are inked perfectly, and come with the metal eyelets near the end of each spool. The other ribbon I tried was too heavily inked, the ribbon material left smudged, fuzzy letters, and they didn't have the metal eyelets.

Wow! What a difference! Great ribbons! These do not disappoint.
These ribbons are great! I have an old Underwood typewriter that belonged to my grandfather. I think it's a No. 5 model from 1923.My old ribbon was from the 1980s and it was pretty dry and printed faintly. Wow! What a difference! These are very inky and make great letters! I had looked at some other ribbons on Amazon and some of the reviews were mixed. This one seemed the most promising. Apparently this company produces these frequently and they aren't just old stock that's been sitting around for years. These are definitely great ribbons. I had to wash my hands twice as I was putting these in the typewriter because they were so inky! .....but that's a good thing : )

worked on my 1940s Remington Rand,
worked on my 1940s Remington Rand, although I did have to hand wind the ribbon from the big plastic spools they came on onto the original metal ones of my typewriter since the diameter of the plastic ones was too large

The nylon will not get chewed up as easily as a cotton ribbon with ha hard platen
Although the description for this ribbon said it was cotton, it actually is nylon. I am an old retired typewriter tech and was refreshing/referbishing a 1950's office typewriter for a friend. I was actually looking for a nylon ribbon because of the condition of the platen. The nylon will not get chewed up as easily as a cotton ribbon with ha hard platen. The print will not be as dark, but it will last.

They DO NOT fit my Smith Corona Corsair Deluxe.
What should have been a 15 minute typewriter change turned into a ninty minute job. The spools that the ribbons are on do not fit my S-C Corsair Deluxe. I had to unspool the supplied ribbon and spool it onto my old spool tediously by hand. The seller should be more careful in his product description and I will be more careful in the future.

So nice to find Real ribbons for my Real portable typewriter.
These ribbons are just what I've been looking for, nice and black, sturdy and easy to install. There's nothing like a Real Typewriter; sometimes nothing else will do---for some of us. ;) !. Sometimes ones who are like me, just want to be homey, and isn't that good, in this time of Pandemic. The choices have been narrowed to a great degree, and going back to my Portable Hermes typewriter (beautiful light green, with its cute rounded profile) puts me back in 1961 when I BOUGHT that Hermes with the year-end bonus from my first job right out of high school. The point being: without these merchants who make these ribbons available in this time of great electronic progress, we who are still so happy/contented(even though we , I am sure, DO have, and use, computers and tablets and all) to now and then change things up, and how could we DO that without the humble Ribbon. Thank you.

Ten Times Better, Half the Cost
As a novelist who writes all of his first drafts on typewriters, I go through a lot of ribbons. Consequently, I've tried a lot of other brands, and the ones sold by FJA are the best. They're super-saturated with ink for a nice, dark impression on paper. Plus, they're an American company that employs disabled veterans. They're the only ribbons I'll buy now. Just about all the others are Chinese made crap that go dry in a few days. FJA ALL THE WAY, BABY!

Adaptable to many typewriters
I collect typewriters, and I have been able to use these ribbons on several typewriters from the late 1930's, '40's, and '50's. On some, I had to remove the ribbon from the spool and re-thread it onto an original spool that was made for the particular typewriter, and I would suggest using nitrile or latex gloves when handling to prevent inking up your thumbs and fingers, because they can make a mess. Overall, they seem to work well.
