I really enjoy a book with a lot of examples and not ...
I am part of the Entrepreneur program at the University of Baltimore, and this book was assigned to our class. In order to be successful you also have to be inspired. Seelig talks about the process of taking your inspiration and dreams and turning them into solutions and opportunities. Personally, I really enjoy a book with a lot of examples and not just theory. Seelig shows how certain individuals took their dreams and made them into reality. I strongly recommend this book, and it is important for anyone who has a vision and wants to see it grow. My biggest take away from this book is that confidence comes from experience, not the other way around. I really love the way she connected the examples to her points. This book may not be suitable for someone who's looking for in depth solutions. It's a light read and an outline for someone who's trying to overcome their hesitation and execute their ideas.

Great Read for Entrepreneurial-Minded People!
Overall I found this book to be very thought-provoking and inspirational; a definite read for any aspiring entrepreneur or student interested in entrepreneurial studies. I was not previously familiar with Tina Seelig or any of her previous works, but am now curious to read some of her other works and dig a little deeper into who she is. This book was assigned to me as part of my Introductory Entrepreneurial Experience class at the University of Baltimore – an enhanced survey course. I can honestly say that what I liked least about the book truly wound up being what I enjoyed most! She didn’t give you the answers to any pre-conceived questions you may have already had; she didn’t tell you that you would be creative if you did…Through her use of her own personal real-life experiences – both successes and failures – as well as an infusion of other well-known business personalities’ experiences, Mrs. Seelig was able to show that everyone has the ability to bring forth valuable insight, innovation and unimaginable creativity. Her book identifies and simplifies cornerstone tools that anyone can use to delve deeper into themselves to bring forth value from within: tools like reframing your perspective on people and situations, using unlikely solutions to find viable solutions, value in experimentation, recognizing motivation and learning how to identify signs of physical and mental stress and when to take a step back to care of yourself. While I’ve intentionally placed my entrepreneurial ideas on hold, I’m now eager to look at them again through fresh eyes.

#ENTR300 Review
This book is a must read! It was assigned to me by my professor for his Entrepreneurship course at the University of Baltimore. I plan to read it again on my own time. In summary, Tina Seelig provides readers with some of the most practical, yet oddly enough, most challenging ways for everyday people to bring ideas to fruition. The book is built around Seelig's "Invention Cycle", where she credits Imagination, Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship as the "framework" for the manifestation of ideas. Each element is further explored in its own chapter, providing stories and real life concepts. There are also projects assigned after each chapter, that gives readers opportunities to explore ideas, make honest self assessments and how to view and approach problems with a solution based mindset. After having read this book, I feel empowered. What I took away from the reading was that we all are capable of bringing our ideas into the world. I’m more motivated than ever to connect with my thoughts, write down my ideas and visions, try new things and overall, become more engaged with the world around me. Seeling emphasized throughout the book that being engaged and welcoming new experiences can lead you to a passion that was not obvious to you before. Seeling pushes us to be more curious about everything and that any little observation or interest can turn into something BIG!

Awesome insight on what it takes to bring ideas into reality
A very insightful book on creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. (Stick with me here, these are defined in the book rather than simple buzzwords) Tina provides an excellent framework for cutting through the nebulous cloud of entrepreneurial thought by creating a concrete framework for us to think about the process of bringing an idea into reality. It's a really quick read and honestly, the guided projects at the end of each chapter is great for anyone as it gives multiple opportunities for reflection. It's a very quick read composed of a large variety of stories, and a broad overview of different research and ideas used in driving innovation and entrepreneurship. I think this book is very much tailored towards individuals new to entrepreneurship and younger professionals, though the self reflection can be very useful for everyone. There are projects at the end of every chapter that gives the reader an concrete tool for self reflection, some of them can be very powerful in aligning your life to your personal aspirations. It's surprisingly light as a reading and I read it on a trans-Atlantic flight. The only minor blemish on the book, in my opinion, is what seems like a forced pitch on Draper U. towards the end of the book. All in all, a fast read that I would highly recommend for individuals looking to build out their own ideas into reality.

A good and useful book, if silghtly redolent of similar.
The first thing to say is that Tina Seelig writes very well... clearly, insightfully, usefully, almost conversational in an animatedly enthusiastic sort of a way.Content wise, I'm not so sure yet as I've not finished reading it. First impression was that it wasn't too lateral, and quite familiar. E.g., here's an innovation cycle..., let's go through all the components... here's an example anecdote to cement the idea, etc. There are the inevitable Quad charts, and the use of "Passion" as a metric to assess your motivation - which I'm not sure is a useful guide (passion is the afterglow, following through on your curiosity generates the heat, and seems a more useful measure). These are minor quibbles though - the content of the book holds together well and is a coherent progression from imagination to entrepreneurship via creativity and innovation. The project work is good at prodding your brain to think about things a bit more, or differently... I wish there were more of these. So far, all-in-all, a good, useful, insightful book on doing something useful with the various ideas rattling around between your ears.
