Q: Why can you not use rechargeable batteries in this toy?

It designed with using non-rechargeable battery. Please use the 1.5V AA non-rechargeable batteries. Thanks!

Yes. And the music mat made of soft non-woven fabric, tasteless and non-toxic.

Q: Does the musical dance mat need to plug in?

I actually gave it as a gift so I never saw what’s inside the box. But it comes with batteries. I’m not sure about a plug.
