how much to fill
Can you recommend a ground coffee for this reusable pod and how much do you fill the pod. I fill it to the top and tamp is down but I get no froth on the top like the disposable pods

Great Nespresso at last!!
At home, I use my favourite beans, freshly ground, in a top of the line espresso machine. In the office I have just a Nespresso machine, which is extremely convenient but . . . oh how I miss my favourite freshly ground coffee. The problem is now solved. While drinking my morning brew at home, I fill up up two of these superb stainless steel capsules with freshly ground - so easy to do with an espresso teaspoon and the tamper - and use them later in the office. The joy, the joy! Than you Cafilas!

Saves on waste but weak on taste
The capsules work fine with my latissimo machine. But the coffee isn't as strong as nespresso original capsules.

Very good quality, very nice coffee
These capsules are very good quality, I used plastic reusable capsules for months but they are not as good as these. If you are happy with reusable capsules you should go for these ones because they last much longer then the plastic ones. To make a good coffee you have to fill the capsule well and press a few times with the metal presser. I am happy with these

Easy to clean and good for the environment.
Needs a little hand when first fitting into mechanism but works well. Leave room for coffee to swell.

select the best coffee for expresso
Use a strong coffee you like and don't be afraid to compact the grounds before you put the lid on, a fine grind is best. Remember your everyday coffee may not be ideal for expresso

Doesn't work properly
The water doesn't filter through the capsule properly, meaning that (even if you only fill it to about a third) the coffee gets stuck in the holes and the flow of water is reduced to a drip or stops completely. If you get lucky and some liquid comes out, it's extremely watery coffee. It's a real shame, I was hoping a fairly significant investment in these metal pods would mean a reusable pod that would be better for the environment, but this product is a dud.
