Himalayan Dog Chew Bonehead Large Holder - Secures Chews for Dogs, Stimulates Smarter Chewing with Screw-In Fastener, 1 Dog Toy

Didn't work for my dog - he managed to wriggle the Yak free. Might work for a small dog (ours is a cockapoo so not huge).

The yak cheese treats get small and can be a choking hazard. This product worked great to protect the dogs from the small pieces and they liked how it holds the treat upright.

Got these for my dogs (Goldendoodle and Standard Poodle) to hold their medium size Yak chews. They work perfectly! Does take some playing around with the chew to get the proper side to secure but is very easy!The holder does make them heavier for the dogs to carry but they figure it (funny to watch!) out or I bring it to them.I also love that the screw opening can tightened or loosened with a butter knife or screwdriver too!

The media could not be loaded.  This Bonehead Yak Stick Holder is the best! Our 4 month old Puppy has been chewing like crazy, due to teething. This has helped him get a better grip when he’s chewing on his favourite chew sticks, which has meant he can chew longer without getting us to hold it for him when he’s really needing to chew. Good purchase. Highly recommend.

It is a chore to find appropriately sized chews for my giant Irish Wolfhounds and even XL yak chews are right on the edge of too small but this holder makes them a much safer.SIZE: The Bonehead holder fits all but the widest of the XL yak chews we purchased (they vary in width and height) and would probably hold other chews like bully sticks. The diameter of this large size holder (about 4.25 inches) is acceptable but my XL dogs could really use an XL size of 6-inches in diameter or more (hint hint Bonehead :D)DURABILITY: So far they are holding up well, even when my goof of a dog decided to chew on the holder instead of the cheese. Use a large flathead screwdriver to tighten the screw and you'll find it easy to use and very secure.

We bought the large toy to hold the Large Native pet Yak chews for our 55lb and 70lb dogs. You put the Yak chew through the middle and you will need a large screwdriver to tighten the screw into the Yak chew to hold it into place.Our dogs are good chewers so I had to really work the screw into place to secure the yak chew, the first few times it slipped out. I also noticed that they would chew it as much as possible and I would be left with a rather large piece of the chew remaining. I found a way to use the microwave to soften the remaining pieces up otherwise it would have been a waste, I suggest you do the research as well when they have chewed all they can with it secure. After 5 yak chews, the holder is showing some signs of wear but overall it is still solid. We have not continued to use it since the first round as the cost of Yak chews and the quickness with which our dogs finish them is costly.Final thoughts:-It takes effort to truly secure the chews with the screw-Yak chews can be expensive and it can leave a large chunk/portion in the holder-Cost of chews and ease of chewing does not make it a great long-term chewing solution for us
