The media could not be loaded.  This worked perfect for me to reposition my sound blaster Z sound card outside the case. It was right under my gpu giving heat off to left fan of the gpu heatsink. And i didn't like that. I've now attached the sound card outside the case on the rear panel above the power cord to the psu. And the ribbon conencts to it perfectly fine. Sound card still works and sounds exactly like it did when installed directly on the motherboard inside the case. My gpu is now 2c - 3c cooler when gaming :-)

I bought this extender to get the wife's Soundblaster Xi out of the airflow path for her GTX card. I had tried a straight plug previously but socket backshell prohibited the sound card mounting. This cable, with a true 90 degree jack allowed me to to utilize the PCIe 1x slot yet move the pcb SB to a slot 8 inches away for the video card and thus allow more graphics card airflow.

My new gpu has been pushing on my network card and this is exactly what I needed to fix the issue! Works great!

The PCI-e PCI Express 36Pin 1X Extension Cable works well. I did not want to give up my pci express expansion slot. The installation of newer graphics cards covers / takes up 2.7 to 3 pci expression slots. The PCI-e PCI Express 36Pin 1X Extension Cable is a good solution not to lose a pci express slot if you use alot.

This item was exactly what I needed! I upgraded my graphics card, but the new card covered the PCI-E port I was using for my WiFi module. This cable allowed me to bump the module down a couple slots while still using that PCI-E port. Very happy with this product!

I was looking to use this to situate a wifi card out of the way of my video card's fans in a brand new build, by mounting it vertically, off to the side.Received the riser, and connected it to the PCIe port on one end, and to the wifi card in its new location. I booted the system up, and I heard a small 'pop' noise come from the motherboard. My computer began behaving strangely; it hung twice before it would fully boot, and I had no wifi when it did. I looked in the Device Manager, and saw a warning indicator on one of the motherboard's PCIe devices (the port the riser was plugged into).I shut down, unplugged the riser cable, and installed the wifi card directly into the port where the riser had been. Booted up again, but the card still didn't function, and the Device Manager still showed a problem. Shut down, and tried another card in the same port. It didn't function, either. All of these cards work fine in other ports. But that one particular port is busted after using this riser.
