The media could not be loaded.  Thanks Golden Field! I really like this fan, it's quiet, good quality, it works great at cooling. Color changing is cool, shines out from the vents on the top of my tower onto my walls. Fast shipping. Thermal gel included. This is three prong so it fans all the time. My old one was 4 prong which adjusts with variable speeds. Doesn't seem like much a difference because this fan is so quiet.

Not super noisy and have not had any issues with it since the install; didn't remember there being a major issue with mounting it.

Broke after 2 month by it self , i believe the cpu temp increased the plastic fitting base became more fragile and broke , thank god it didnt fry my motherboard

This review is for the S3000.I was willing to forgive the assumed low quality components (aluminum instead of copper, low-quality fan) for the price of under $10, but when I went to install it, there are more serious flaws that make this a very bad cooler.In the first picture, you can see that the base of the cooler only covers about 70% of the IHS on my FX-6300. That's not cool. In the second picture, the worse of the two offenses in my opinion, the bracket to secure the cooler 2 an am3+ socket takes far too much pressure to clip on. When I tried to get the second clip down to the bracket, I was putting so much force into it that I thought I might crack the IHS on the CPU. I tried loosening the screws on the bracket, so I wouldn't have to put as much force to get the clip in place, but even then it still felt very dangerous.I am going to return this, because it is not compatible with am3+, as I can't get the clip to attach to the bracket without putting unreasonable force that might break the CPU.UPDATE:Golden Field reached out to me in regard to my initial one-star review, and we are currently in discussion regarding the product I received. I bumped the rating up to two stars for the attention to my review, and will further update it, depending on what happens going forward.

I was attracted to this cooler because it reminded me of a Zalman CNPS 7500 (although I think the S3000 may have fewer fins). The fins are a bit flimsy, but I can't expect much more from a cooler of this price.Installation should be straight-forward. I had a few problems with my Gigabyte Z87 Mobo, because my memory is tall (with heatsinks) and the cooler fins creep over one of the memory slots and there isn't enough space for my memory to fit. Normal size memory should be OK though.The fan runs full bore at 2800RPM approx and only has a 3-pin header, so you'll hear it (knocked a review star off for the lack of a 4-pin header). The upside is that it does a good job at cooling the CPU. As the fan blows down at the CPU I would imaging it'd provide some cooling to components around the CPU area too, such as memory and mosfets. Mileage may vary but I was seeing temps between 65C and 70C (warm day, so likely an ambient temp of 25C). It's likely 10C better than a stock Intel cooler. My CPU is a 4670k and was running slightly OC'd at 4Ghz.The fan has lighting and changes colours randomly - which looks quite pretty.Pretty good value for a decent CPU cooler.

I needed to re-animate an old PC, and this gave a low-cost way of getting the machine going again. Cooling is significantly better than the original fan-sink. I had an X-frame 'glued' securely under the motherboard which I failed to remove [so had to adapt the fixing mechanism] - this would fix far more easily to a motherboard with 'bare' fixing holes [it comes with a standard mount-clip, plus an adapter frame with two possitions for the included fixings so that it can be used on a range of socket types]

I gave it a 3 star because I needed it for a socket 939 motherboard but it wasn't compatible. Thankfully my old win xp machine needed a new fan because the old one was like a jet engine so I didn't sent it back.
