Pulled ipad apart and popped battery in, fired up before sealing. Battery had 48% charge out of the box. I have worked on many android phones so have experience in this area. Screw driver that came with kit was useless. Used my own tools. Suction tool was pretty good. For all newbs, use a hair dryer and heat up the edges before attempting to start a gap. Do NOT force anything or you will crack the screen. attempt to start separation in the middle of screen, its more flexible there. Avoid using tools near home button, it may not work when it goes back together. Take your time, get a decent mini screwdriver kit, have clear workspace and container to safely store tiny screws. They get lost very easy. Have some tweezers to assist in managing screws. (removing and setting). The double sided tape needs to be removed keeping brown paper on. So you will have one sticky side to place against case and the other peels of once you are ready to re-assemble. Good Luck.UPDATE: after 3 years of use it failed. Cant complain for the money. For me, the unit was mostly plugged in to 12v power supply in my plane running foreflight. So cant comment on battery life running the tablet. It failed when I left the unit powered off for a month. The battery swelled up to the point it separated the screen from the body of the tablet (small gap). Didn't damage the tablet and made opening it to replace the battery easy. Im buying another one and hope to get the same result.

This worked perfectly. The battery was easy to replace with a few you tube videos for instructions.

I did the installation myself and damaged the LCD screen in the process. The battery powered my ipad back on (that would not come on at all) but I could not see anything because of the damage I caused. Other than that the battery was a good buy.**Tip** if you do the installation yourself make sure you apply enough hot hair (blow dryer does work) to remove enough glue before trying to open the ipad and remove the old battery because damage can be easily made.

the battery was pretty easy to install after getting all the gorilla glue off the original...they do NOT want that thing coming loose i guess. once installed, it has completely made my ipad useable again

(2nd update)After running coconut battery on my friends MacBook I found out that the battery I received was a dud. After 3 charge cycles, the battery’s max capacity was 85% of the designated capacity.On the bright side, the seller refunded me the purchase price, even after the return window closed. This is because it took me a while to get the battery installed. I appreciate that in terms of customer service.(Update)Battery does not power my iPad Pro 9.7 for more than 2 hours watching YouTube on 50% brightness with Bluetooth And airdrop off.To be fair, I am in iPadOS 13.4.1 And I have read that others are also dealing with battery drain issues. I will try to update the review when an update is available.Also, I found the battery replacement extremely difficult. You might be better off paying Apple or a trusted repair shop to do the replacement. Especially if they will run a diagnostic first, because I think the issue might not be the battery itself, but a sensor or chip that regulates the battery.

It took me a year after purchase to try to replace the iPad battery with this, and although it has been kept in a refrigerator the whole time, I find that side is swollen and is leaking. It was in the original packaging, which includes a plastic bag and a thin cardboard box (both in impeccable condition after 1 year, so no external damages). From what I read, keeping a Li Ion battery in refrigerator (and not humid) should have kept it fresh.Update: The seller gave me a full refund even a year later, so I have to heartily recommend this seller.
