I've bought a couple of these over the years. Always great. Very little lag time even on modern games, though it can struggle on games with extremely large open worlds when traveling long distances. Even then, it is a minor interruption at most. The only reason I had to buy a second was due to Microsoft updating and killing it... rip. Works great though and I've never had any issues with it, plus you don't have to keep deleting your games from steam due to space.

It took me a while to figure out which one would be the best drive to buy but this was absolutely a great purchase. Used it on PS4 to move games and free up internal storage. Everything works seamlessly and it was extremely easy to set up, it is just very slow when moving them from internal to external memory. But really I have no complaints, extremely happy with this product.

When I came across the "We suggest the Black model for your gaming needs" message I figured it was just marketing. But given that this drive is the same cost as a non-gaming drive...why not? I've had issues with hard drive not disconnecting on the PS5 causing an error message at every startup and a hard drive repair. This has happened with hard drives AND SSD so I figured it's just a problem with the PS5 and bad design. However... I haven't had this problem since I switched to this drive. In general the PS5 interface is extremely sluggish, and games load REALLY slowly, even from the Internal "high speed" storage. In general, the PS5 is just a lousy console, but there are upgrades that can improve the experience. One of them is a good optimized "game drive". This particular drive is a bit more rugged than other plain ones, and looks like it came out of one of those Toughbook laptops. It's just a USB hard drive like any other, cheap for the capacity, but I'm imagining the cache and firmware must be optimized for this specific use because... I can't quite logically explain it but this hard drive is MUCH faster than even an SSD plugged into the PS5. It just loads up games near instantly, and they download and install faster than before. The hard drive errors on shutdown and restart seem to have stopped. So overall? If you are using a video game console this appears to be the ideal external hard drive that you want. It's certainly the one I want going forward.

I accidentally bought this thinking it was another one of their full-size drives in a similar looking, but considerably larger enclosure. Oops. I figured, might as well make the best of it, 5TB of storage is 5TB of storage (well... let's get real... it's that marketing "TB," not what your computer's file system calls a TB, so it's more like 4 TB and some change of storage). I digress. In using it I was pleasantly surprised by the solid transfer speed, staying around 100 MB per second transferring large files (which is better than I have had from any drive this small and this slow-spinning previously) - often drives like this will transfer at a solid speed 'til they run out of cache, then slow down, but this one holds the speed well 'til the whole job is done. I was also very impressed with its cool operation. As mentioned I thought it was one of the bigger ones in a similar enclosure, because I already have one of those, and even with its small fan active it runs 10-15C hotter than this smaller drive. Granted, it transfers more quickly as it is a full size 7200 RPM drive, but for the sake of longevity keeping temps below 50C is a great mark in this smaller drive's favor. Having got one, I'm now keen to get a few more. They take up so little space and offer a solid amount of storage for the price. I recommend it.

Recommend. I'm having it for years now. Had some bug for “wrong shutdowns”, but it recovered by itself, and never lost data (that I've noticed, at least). I wish it would allow to play ps5 games from it as well, instead of only storage them. The same brand today offers an option which goes inside of the console for this purpose. I'm waiting some deal/discount to get it. Well build. Solid product.

XBOX ONE compatible. Size is nice and small. Why would you "portability" it? You leave it connected to your console! Weight is normal. No formatting that I can remember necessary. Super easy.

I use it for backups, since the additional speed makes that process less painful. It definitely works faster than a standard external HDD. However, it's still a HDD so speeds won't be nearly as fast as SSD or NvME. Given the price difference between SSD / NvME and this product, you can't beat the price, quality, performance, and most importantly capacity for a HDD, since comparable SSD, etc are far more expensive for this amount of space. For good performance for gaming or large data storage (imaging, backups), it's a good product at a decent value.

I ordered this harddisk a second time because its very good. Fast, quiet, smalle, strong.

Primero me llamo la atención su diseño porque parece un contenedor y la parte de arriba es de aluminio que ayuda a disipar mejor el calor, que no es mucho (~40°). Lo compré para almacenar juegos y datos de mi PC y hasta ahora (3 meses aprox.) estoy muy satisfecho. Es un poco más rápido a los convencionales, te ahorras unos segundos en las pantallas de carga y tienes la confianza de la marca en cuestión de durabilidad. Su instalación fue fácil, solo conectas por USB y tuve que formatear a NFTS porque lo uso en Windows; un punto importante a mencionar es que NO puedes quitar la carcasa y hacerlo interno ya que tiene soldada la conexión, pero al ser externo lo hace dinámico a cualquier uso. Por último, compré la versión de 5tb en una oferta muy buena ($2500) por lo que si valió la pena. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ACTUALIZACIÓN 2 AÑOS DESPUÉS: El disco empezó a tener sectores defectuosos, corrompiendo el sistema de archivos y ralentizando la PC. La partición se conviertió en 'RAW data' haciendolo inaccesible a mi información contenida. Intenté distintas formas de repararlo pero el problema era más grave, un desastre. Consulto la supuesta garantía de 3 años y dice fuera de región! y aunque fuese respetada tienes que hacerte cargo de todo los costos que conlleva la devolución y reemplazo del producto. Decepcionante el tiempo que duró funcionando y el servicio de esta marca.

الهارد حلو سرعة القراءة والكتابة فيه كانت 132 ميقا في الثانية طلبته للبيسي (اذا تبيه للبيسي حقك فقط عشان الألعاب لازم تفرمته من exFAT الى NTFS لأن بتصيرلك مشاكل في ستيم من ناحية السرعة وما راح يشتغل على السوني لأن السوني يدعم فقط exFAT، فكر قبل تستعمله لإيش D: )
