Skyward Volume 1: My Low-G Life (Skyward, 1)

Ok, so I just read the awesomely fun and exciting Skyward written by Joe Henderson with vibrant action packed art by Lee Garbett and published by image comics, now this is a comic I have been seeing around since it's first issue, but never really was sold on it, but got this book on a whim and I'm so happy I did, this odd little sci-fi epic set in a world where gravity has gone haywire was just super fun and very well done, I also really like our main lead in this book Willa she is a really fun spunky character that is very relatable and utterly charming, this first book does an epic job setting up this world and our heroes adventure and I really can't recommend it highly enough

My daughter asked me for the Skyward book and I purchased this book first. My daughter loved it but it was not the one she asked for. The pictures are beautiful and it is a well made book. But I did turn around and purchase the correct book. I would not buy this product again, but for a comic book lover I would recommend this product.

I am not a comic book reader. I bought this because of a personal connection. I liked it and am ready for the next volume. I think that the chapters typically come out each month, but I don't think that would satisfy me. I like the larger chunk that the volume offers because I was able to get a bit deeper into the storyline. Especially, since I'm not typically a comic reader. The character development and female protagonist are enjoyable. The flaws in the characters will lead to interesting situations and decisions in the future.

Fascinating and creative sci-fi concept! Great series with excellent art. Every new thing we learn about this world had me fascinated. I was so engrossed in this volume that when I got up I was a bit disoriented and had to remind myself that gravity is still a thing

The story is average and the artwork is really cool. If you are bored and have cash to burn check it out. But there are better options out there if money is tight and you have to chose between this and something else.

A simple concept beautifully executed. Excellent dialogue, breathtaking art. Cannot wait to further explore this world. Cannot possibly recommend it more: read this now!

I really enjoyed the storyline and art. If you’re looking to read something outside of your typical selections — this takes the cake. The story is wonderfully told so that you just might become hooked.

This is one of the best newer books I've read in a long time. Putting aside physics, the story and characters just keep you reading, getting invested more and more.

This is one of those stories where you need to suspend your critical faculties and any understanding you have of the curvature of spacetime.Great characters and a solid story with a number of interesting subplots. I would have moved onto the next book in the series but I discovered Joe Hill’s Locke and Key.All in all a solid start to what I hope is an excellent series.

Skyward has such a simple premise, the world has only a fraction of the gravity it once had. Something so simple, yet so important to everyone living in it.From the opening chapter the characters draw you in and the story is captivating leaving you needing more.The illustration is beautifully done and gives a sense of movement to the characters, something that helps transform the words in to more than just text.This is truly a captivating series that I can’t wait to continue reading.

Defo looking forward to the next comic, the art work goes well with the flow of the story. Wish the next one was also on kindle unlimited

This was an amazing book that left me on a cliff hanger, I recommend this book for everyone because it is heart warming and also funny

Feels a bit rushed at times, but the concept is so interesting and the art is so gorgeous.
