Heavier construction and double layered (will not call it insulation)I have purchased a same length ventilation tubing from a local store for a slightly lower price but this item is much better quality. I did not need the whole length. I just bunched up a 90 degree elbow section and taped it around with and electrician tape.

Fixes the need to insulate stock hoses. Very high quality material. Easy to use on any portable ac.***be sure to measure exact diameter you might need as the hose is bigger that regular***

This kind of ducting with the plastic outer coating is so much better than just the exposed aluminum ones.

Beware these hoses are outside diameter so if you buy and 8 inch wide hose to fit onto and 8 inch port it won't fit because it's the same size. I had to cut the first wire loop,repair it with duct tape and then I was able to fit it on enough to use the hose clamps and reinforce with more tape.

Perhaps pricey for what it is, but the thermal shielding on it and black exterior are what sold me on it. Good stuff.
