I love that this product is as stated ! I would purchase again.

It looks ok, and the alarm function is loud. However, the lock mechanism is utter JUNK. It's supposed to have two sided dimples, even my sister who's never picked a lock before was able to pick it by raking only one side of dimples for 2 seconds. I'd maybe use it to lock an item of almost no value or one that has near 100% visual monitoring, not my $400 electric scooter.

Looks a lot better than chain and padlock.

My bike was just stolen by the drug addicts in tents and cars next to me last week.I didn't even hear the alarm go off and it's next to my bed . It was the second bike to be stolen by the homeless drug addicts who infest the community in the month of February I had two bikes stolen thanks to this lock.

This should be a good theft deterrent. In theory it should work pretty well. If the cable is cut it should always go off and if it is moved around, and the shock sensor is on, it should go off. The only problem I have is the locking mechanism looks really easy to pick. You can see the lock pins by just looking into the opening for the lock. But, again, between the alarms and even just the word "Alarm" on it, that should be enough to keep most people from trying anything with it. At the end of the day most other cable locks may be less pickable, but they can all be cut easily. This one, even if it could be picked easier, at least makes a lot of noise which would hopefully scare a thief away. For what it's worth the build quality seems really good. One thing I'll add is the shock sensor is not super sensitive. It seems like some people see this as a negative but this was a nice surprise to me. I bought this thinking I'd mostly just use the cut sensor and leave the shock off since in a bike rack things get moved around and you don't want the alarm to go off all the time. This lock requires it to be hit pretty good for it to go off. This means you can use it in a bike rack without worrying about it going off anytime someone inadvertently touches your bike. A hammer to it or any noticable shock to the casing will still set it off. To give you a better idea, if you are just holding the lock and turn the shock alarm on, you can walk around with it, swing your arm with it and it won't go off. But, if you hit it with your fist, it will.

Giant escape rx1で使用。街中に駐輪するときは、これぐらいの機能があると安心できます。しかもボタン電池交換できるんですね。鍵は3つ買いましたが、これを最初に買っておけば、良かった・・・。難点は普通の鍵より重いこと。でもサドルの後ろに着けるので無問題です。

たまたまなのか分からないですが、正常のアラーム音が鳴らない品が届きました。 (電池が切れかかっている？) 音の誤作動もひどく、予想していた使い方は出来なかったです。 返品も面倒なので、現在はあえて電池を切らして、ただのロックとして使用してます。

動かしたり、ワイヤーをカットしようとするとブザーの警告音が鳴るというのは画期てきだが、 重くて大きい。

この商品を買った理由として、 ワイヤーロックでアラーム機能がついてるものを探してました。そこで他社製品と比較したところ、15秒でアラームが鳴り止むという部分が決定的でした。 他社製品の殆どは、1度鳴ると解錠するまで鳴り続けるみたいで、もし盗難ではなく自転車が何かしらの理由で倒れたり、移動された時にアラームが鳴ってしまうと、解錠するまで鳴り続けられても困るので。 深夜の自宅で朝まで鳴り続けられたら近所迷惑ですしね。 実際に購入してからの気になる点は、 感度が少し鈍い。 鳴り続けるならこれでも良いかもですが、15秒で止まるならもう少し感度良くて良いと思います。 シートポストに取り付けるのがベルクロの為、商品が少し重いのもあって、ズレてくる。そして、そのベルクロの作りが雑。箱を開けた時から裂けてました。 値段が少し高くなっても防水機能を高めてくれるとありがたいです。 水をかけられ、アラーム機能を壊されてワイヤーを切られると…。 色々と書きましたが、商品自体は気に入っています。

ディスクロック付きの物を購入しました。実際に装着する前に、一回使って見たところ、一度は解錠できたものの、もう一度ロックしたら、二度と開かなくなりました。恐らくはずれを引いたのでしょう。チェーンの方は問題無く解錠出来ました。 一応、交換を依頼しましたが、ちょっと使いのが怖いな。二度と解錠できないロックは、ちょっとなー。実車に付ける前に何度も動作確認をした方が良いです。開けられなくては洒落にならんです。
