Bi-Directional Coax Digital Audio Adapter - Coax to Optical or Optical to Coaxial Converter

It worked, awesome item to have if you have an older t.v. Great price and easy to set-up.

I was helping my elderly neighbors by our vacation property. He had bought a new soundbar and it only had a HDMI ARC connection or digital optical connection. The older flat screen TV only had a digital audio out. The Digital Coaxial to Optical Converter was the perfect bridge between old and new technology. It came with the digital cable and the optical cable. A usb cable to connect to power on the TV. All I had to do is slide a switch to identify what the output version would be and connect the cables. It worked like it was supposed to and he has a working new soundbar. The quality of the Digital Coaxial to Optical Converter is very good. I don’t see any issues that could happen with the product. A good fix for a technology problem.

Blu-ray player only offered a single digital coaxial output which would not work with my system--this unit easily converted the coaxial to an optical cable input on the amp. BUT be aware the coaxial and optical cables included with the converter are cheap junk. I wanted to test the unit before a full-on set-up/install. No issues with the converter box but the audio signal almost immediately began to break up and drop out. Quickly replaced the supplied cables and had no further issues. Seriously, be sure you have quality coaxial/optical cables on hand.

This product worked right out of the box, requiring only two minutes to connect and no app required. And it sounds absolutely fantastic. Playing an SACD disc from a blu-ray player into a WIIM pro-plus streamer/DAC, I could detect no audible signal degradation whatsoever. The SACD signal is converted from coax digital to optical toslink digital through this device, then passed to the DAC of the WIIM where it is decoded. It sounds fantastic. So why was this device needed? My Blu-ray player has a coax digital out, but no toslink digital optical out. The WIIM has a toslink optical digital optical input, but no coax digital input. This little box solved my digital interface issue! Highly recommended.

I have an old Logitech Z-680 that has only one optical, one Digital Coax, and the 3.5 Direct Inputs. I use the optical for my TV but I also want to connect my PC which has an optical but no Coax output and really don't want to run the 3.5s. This little wonderful metal box allows me to run my PCs optical output through it and it not only converts but in a way also splits the audio. What I mean is that I plug the toslink into this box which then I plug the Coax output to my Logitechs and then I also plug another toslink into the output of the box and viola... I can now connect that toslink to my soundbar for gaming/watching but without worrying about being to loud as easily. I have been running this thing since May 8th 2020, 24/7. It hasn't warmed up at all so It must be pretty efficient with the power it does get which is micro usb. So powering it is simple. Hell I could plug it into my TVs or PC if I so desired but I am paranoid AF and don't power/charge anything from my PC/TVs directly.

The converter did not initially work well and was producing static loud enough to drown out the sound. We needed this to connect a soundbar to an older TV that only had digital coax audio (spdif). As other reviews have stated, I replaced the coax cable to troubleshoot and now it works well. Buy without cables if possible and use quality cables.

This device was perfect for connecting my TV to my Optical Surround Sound.

I bought a new soundbar which has Hdmi & optical input but my TV doesn't have provision for it. Thus product works perfectly gets input through TV axial and converts into optical. I strongly recommend it and also arrived quickly

I couldn't connect my new jbl bar speaker with my old model tv but now this product made it awesome

Disappointed that the device came without the Toslink and Coaxial cables. The build quality of this device is very good however I had to buy separate cables despite being advertised as cables included. I recommend not buying as for this price the cables should have been included.
