Makes growing herbs easy in home without natural light, Easy to set up & use. Black thumb's delight!
Just look at my last photo! I was thrilled when I discovered AeroGardens and realized how easy it is to grow herbs and salad greens, even in a house with very little natural light. This week I acquired brand new redesigned AeroGarden Bounty 2019! It took a couple of minutes to unpack everything and less than 5 minutes to set up Bounty: - put the telescopic light pole into the unit and light hood on the pole - plug in into outlet - Add water (appx gallon of tap water, let it sit for few hours to de-chlorinate) - add the recommended amount of nutrients (included) - drop in the seed pods (herb packet included), cover with domes (included) - Press "Quick Plant" button, select Herbs and set clock and timer for when you want the lights on/off DESIGN: clean and sleek, very different from older models and a welcome modern look LIGHTS: can be temporarily turned OFF, ON or DIMMED- I love this feature! You can adjust when they turn on/off. DISPLAY: shows the water level and will warn you when it gets low, on the LEFT - how many days it is since the garden was started (0 on first day) , on the RIGHT: when to add nutrients (in 14 day). It's helpful that "#of days" can be adjusted, when moving plants that were started in another garden. VACATION MODE: can be turned ON/OFF with single press of the button and customized from MENU MENU: well organized into 4 main sections (Garden Settings, Light, Pump Food) . A GARDEN STATUS is especially helpful with stats of current settings in 2 screens- Garden Type (Herbs), Mode (Germination when garden is started), when Lights com on/off, Days planted, Pumps cycle (how often it come on and how long it runs) and WIFI: set up WiFi to add it to Aerogarden app so you can monitor your garden from your phone! I will be updating this review as my herb garden grows. Day 1 - some signs of life already in basil pods. Day 7 - everything germinated, except for Parsley and Mint pods Day 14 - a reminder came up to add nutrients on both the garden itself and on AeroGarden app. Every pod's seeds germinated and growing well. Day 28 - a reminder came up to add nutrients. Day 30 - every herb is now 2-5 inches high, mint is small, but healthy and strong (see photo) Day 50 - trimmed basil twice already, today I had enough for a cup of pesto. Love it!

Absolutely love it!
Santa came early... a gift from my husband! He had me open it before Christmas so that I can start the lettuce. The product box is sturdy and the items inside the box are all protected by plastic wrap and set in sturdy cardboard holders to keep them secure. All items were included as advertised and in pristine condition. A quick start card gives 4 steps to set up the device, plug it in, and then follow the easy-to-read and easy-to-understand instructions on the display panel. These include setting the clock, setting the light timer, selecting the item I'm growing (the lettuce), adding the water, adding the liquid plant food, and inserting the pods. There's further information on the inserts that came with the device and the pod boxes, including what to do if you have hard water or city water. I can't speak to connecting it to the internet for Alexa assistance, because I don't have Alexa. Overall, it was so easy to put it all together and have it begin its work! It makes a beautiful addition to the room we have it set up in. The light is very bright, but it can be dimmed as needed. On this first day I'm so very pleased with it! I'll be back when I'm at a point of assessing its functionality and growing power! By the way, I'm an avid gardener (30+ years of gardens!) and this is my first time trying anything like this! DAY 3: All 9 pods have growth. I've added photos (after the seed pack photos) -- one of all 9 pods showing the growth and a closeup of 4 pods. I'm thrilled at these early results! I'll be back to update again soon. DAY 10: The covers are off! They probably could have been removed 2 days ago, but I wanted to be sure I wasn't rushing the process. They all look healthy! These are AeroGarden's "Garden Greens" package - green and red lettuce. According to the instructions any "darkish" spots indicate that those are red lettuces. I do see some dry tips, but that happens with all brand new seedlings, so I'm not concerned. I'm very pleased with the results to date and I'll continue to update for those who are interested. 😁 Added a photo to show the unconvered greens. DAY 21: Added a photo to show everything growing and looking very healthy! It's just about time to start pinching off a few leaves to promote thicker growth. Not too long from now I'll be pinching off leaves for small salads! As someone who has been an "outside" gardener for 30+ years, it absolutely delights me to be growing salad greens inside through the winter. At this point I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product and hope everyone who buys it enjoys it as much as I have!

Keeps Getting Better
I've owned several AeroGardens over the years and have given even more away as gifts. I had an older version of this Bounty model that I had given to a friend after I had used it for a couple of years and was curious to see what this new model looked like. I was impressed. It's better looking (slimmer, nicer finish) and some of the new features were pretty nice. The Control Panel is nicer. There's a visual display showing how much water you have that makes it much easier to know when to add more. There was a touch screen for setting the time that was easier than what I remember on the old model, although it's still a bit tight for my fat fingers. They've also added a Vacation Mode, which claims to use 50% less water, which should be nice for for when I'm traveling on longer trips. It's was still very easy to assemble, which is not a strength of mine. Just put a few pieces together and you're good to go. This was only recently planted so I can't report on growth but I've had really good success with all the other AeroGardens I've had so I don't anticipate having any problems. Update After 2 Weeks: Everything but the Mint has already sprouted! Update After 3 Weeks: Although you can't see it, the Mint is sprouting. Just a little slow. Everything else is coming along nicely.

Great for indoor herb gardens
Love using this. I bought this as an upgrade from a previous model. I’m a firm believer that not everything needs WiFi these days but it definitely helps with this. I travel a lot and sometimes forget to put it in vacation mode, so doing that while I’m away is super easy with the app. Also love the low water alert from the app. If I’m traveling I can ask a friend to go top it off if needed. The build quality is much nicer than the one I had before. I can’t recommend these enough.

Fun little project and yolu get to eat the results...
I bought this for another plant growing project (ferns) but it came with herbs so I thought I would start with those. Setup was very easy and it's almost impossible to mess it up. I am using only distilled water so I won't have mineral issues (lime buildup) in the system. After several weeks, I finally spotted something growing...by 6 weeks in I had about 5 of 9 plants sprouted and growing. After 8 weeks I had to contac5t Aero Garden to replace the 3 that never sprouted and this was easy (annoying I had to do it but easy to complete). That's when the problems started. Some of the herbs are fast growing and quite tall. I have to of these taking over the world in my kitchen. I cut them back daily - I am not kidding. I could easily now start an herb factory selling Dill and Basil. The mint is now taking off and fighting for it's quarter of the kitchen. Meanwhile the slower growing plants have little chance for light. Keeping the peace is a daily task. The poor 3 new plants have not yet spouted. Luckily I have them all along the edge. Unluckily, the light is now raised as far up as it can raise and the Dill is still trying to outrun my scissors. I have cut a lot of the dill and mint out trying to make room for the new plants - but it is obvious if you have some no-shows in the original batch you are in for extra work to get replacements to grow (if they ever do). I am using window sunlight to try to help the new plants. Meanwhile I am learning to spice EVERYTHING with Dill and/or Basil...I have found some new combinations I really like. The mint is great in Tea. I would actually advise people new to this to plant the slow growing plants first, and add the faster and taller ones later. This would actually give the slow growers a chance to spread out a little before being buried under the fast growers foliage. Water is now becoming an issue. I use only distilled water and I thought I might go through a gallon every now and then...but it is already taking a gallon every 5 or 6 days - just Wow. I never understood how much plants need until I paid for it by the gallon! Still, it isn't very costly so I will continue my course. Light is not an issue since it is near a window. The electrical lighting it comes with works extremely well for the fast growing tall plants, but keeping the slow small plants in enough light is a challenge. I am now using the window light to supplement those plants. The controls for the electrical lighting are easy to use and we love the extra light during the evening in a normally dark area of the kitchen. Fertilizing is very simple and no issue with it at all. I am now wondering how long these plants will go for. I am afraid to turn my back on the Dill as it seems determined to take over the world. I often wonder if I waited a few moments if I could see it growing! Please with purchase, and as in all things new to me it has been a learning experience.

A home cook’s best friend
I absolutely love this thing. If you cook, you will too. I love making dishes from around the world, and at this point in my life a dish feels naked without a thick layer of herbs. Unfortunately, I live in a 7C city and fresh herbs sell for $2-6 in a little plastic tomb that will rot in the fridge before you can use them up. The 9-pod Aerogarden is a great value, and has saved me probably $100 in herbs (even beyond the amount I paid for it). Herbs grow really quickly in here, and can end up huge (I have enjoyed some VERY happy chives and basil). If you have an AG seed pod that doesn’t germinate, the company will send you fresh pods for free. I’ve also bought pods and plugs from third party EVERECOO, and they’ve worked too. The AG has even successfully grown cilantro(!!), which I’ve never managed in a real outdoor dirt garden. I bought my first of this model about 2.5 years ago, and it’s still in great shape. I bought a backup last year out of desperation (this is that order), since the company was supposed to close and I can never live without this thing again. I’ve never had to open it. These are built to be sturdy, reliable, and incredibly prolific. Kind of annoying to clean after a cycle, but worth it. I’ve converted at least four people in my extended network to get one, and they love theirs too. GET ONE!!

Bought - Open Box from Amazon
This is the 2nd of two that I bought open box from Amazon. The first one arrived in non-working condition (somebody obviously swapped their old broken one for the new one in the box). I sent it back defective with a comment on the switchero. The second one I ordered was like $10 more in cost for open box. But when it arrived, it had been opened, but never touched. Never setup. It was literally brand new. I was ecstatic about this. I love it. The only thing I would say is that if you are purchasing this because of the wifi App only - DONT! go for the Harvest without the app. The app is mostly worthless, when it works. It doesn't do a notification when you need to add water, or when you need to add fertilizer. You can, change settings via the app and look up recipes and turn it off / on but that's all its good for. Overall, I am 100% happy with this purchase.

Makes gardening inside super easy.
Years later we still use it. It seems now every year my wife tries new plants. It’s still going strong YEARS LATER.

Excellent product. Love it.
Love it!!! Ordered after Christmas. Have been using herbs for well over a month. I have enough to share. Trim and use. So easy too operate. Good size water tank. Easy to fertilize. It’s connected to my wifi so I am reminded when to add water and fertilizer. Great investment. Two pods had incorrect seeds but I figured it out once they got bigger.

Excellent for the first time Quarantined gardener - be happy and grow things <3
I had been wanting an Aerogarden for a while, so when the first panicked wave of COVID19 hit, I went ahead and purchased the Bounty. I have no regrets on this purchase. It's so easy to set up that I was sure I'd done something wrong. Just pop a couple pieces together, fill it with water and drop the pods in. If like me, you forget to look after your plants, this connects to wi-fi and will send you reminders for when to add food or if the water gets low. At 28 days since planting my pods, I've already done some mini harvests on basil, dil and mint. Thyme and parsley are a little slow to get going, but they are doing great. It has been fascinating to watch these plants grow and something happy to look forward to each day. The light is B R I G H T. So bright that when I come down at 5 the morning and the rest of the lights are off, it doesn't matter. I read some stuff online and decided I was smart, so I wrapped the whole thing in tin foil. It kept the light inside, kept the humidity up and my retinas were thankful. My pods sprouted several days earlier than expected, so I highly recommend this little hack. Once everything was an inch or so high I kep the tin foil off as I wanted to check on them every day. I also used the light for other plants. In jars off to the side I've sprouted some garlic cloves, regrown green onions. I reused the tin foil to create a three-sided wall around a seed starting kit and placed it next to the Bounty to use the light. In 5 days, everything had sprouted, even my pumpkin and melon seeds. To replace the water, which is recommended once a month, I just pulled the light off the pole, unplugged the pump and lifted the whole top lid with the pods up off the water bucket. I placed the whole section on the edges of a cardboard box (like the box was opened and the flaps were sticking straight up. I propped the corner of the box against a wall so it wouldn't shift). It was easy to pick up the water bucket and carry it to the sink to rinse and refill. Took less than 5 minutes. The water pump is whisper quiet. I also have an Aerogarden Sprout. It is not quiet.

Be a GREEN THUMB with this machine
I have always been a brown thumb and with this machine, I can successfully be a "gardener". The machine does 90% of the work, you just have to choose, which plants, veggies, or herbs you want to grow, add water and nutrients. The check up on the plants as it you go and add water and nutrients as requested by the machine. For a lower cost, reliable machine, I strongly recommend AEROGARDEN. I have been using them for over 10 years. I bought this one because my outdated model needed new parts and aerogarden doesn't supply them anymore. After seeing the difference in this one compared to my older one, they are WAY more sturdy. In case, you don't know AEROGARDEN, backs up their machine and seeds for 1 year. Easy to put together, set up and being a green thumb.
