FIVE STARS ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
I just received this selfie stick in the mail and I can’t express just how pleased I am with it so far. It definitely exceeds my expectations. Very compact and well made. Love the removable remote. Be sure to read the instructions on how to open it. It states to not pull the tripod legs out or they will break. Only slightly “unlock” the legs and then pull the stick out and the legs will automatically engage. I will definitely recommend this selfie stick/tripod to others and maybe even buy some as gifts. The functionality and sleek look deserves 5 stars. Now to test out the durability over some time of use.

Wireless Remote is Water Resistant
This stick is sturdy, easy to operate and surprisingly the wireless remote is water resistant. I accidentally put it in the washing machine/dryer in the pocket of my jeans. I thought it was broken when I found it but it wasn't. Definitely value for your money.

Read the instructions and unbox carefully.
Works as advertised. Remote initially failed to show fully charged with the LED. I put it on the charger and it came to life within about 10 minutes with a full charge. Used it to take photos and videos on my iPhone. Simple as setting the camera and clicking the remote to activate the shutter. For videos a second push on the remote stops recording. ADDED VALUE: You can use the remote ANYTIME - even without the selfie stick - to control the camera. Be aware that the telescoping shaft has a groove running through all sections to provide enhanced strength and rigidity. This feature means that you cannot swivel the camera around the tripod “pole” when it is standing upright. You can only spin the whole tripod. The picture claiming 270 degree rotation is really about adjusting the camera from portrait to landscape orientation - and beyond. When first opening the box be aware that there are decals restricting normal movement. The tripod legs have a mostly transparent band near the top that prevents automatic opening. Remove it and they work perfectly. The removable remote also has a nearly transparent label holding it in place. Remove it. Another important issue. The manufacturer goes to great lengths to warn you to NOT pull open and push closed the tripod legs by direct contact. Some video product reviews even show this bad practice to open and close the legs. Instead, let the opening and closing of the extendable “pole” move the tripod legs. There is even a yellow label on the priduct about this. Remove it and reattach it along the central shaft for future reference. Also READ THE INSTRUCTIONS about opening and closing the unit to prevent damage. Nice unit at a good price. Some camera positions may result in tripod being unstable and falling over. Use a pro trick of a small sandbag on the lifting legs to keep it stable. Or use a book bag, coat, etc as a substitute. I like it!

Selfie sticks have come a long way
The last time I had a selfie stick was 13 years ago. I stopped using them after my wife convinced me to get over my FOASTTOP (fear of asking strangers to take our photo). Come 2020, shoving your germ-laden phone into a stranger's hands wasn't cool anymore, so I was back to researching selfie sticks. These selfie sticks are amazing transforming gadgets. The pictures and claims looked too good to be true, but having received and used it, it's truly impressive how they can transform between a cylinder the size of a medium flash light, a 31" selfie stick, and a 31" tripod. This unit stays sturdy in all the modes. This same company also makes 40", 51" and 60" versions. Avoid the 40" version; it's really flimsy. The 60" version is great, but it's the size and heft of a large flashlight. It's great for using at home or when taking it to an event for video, but it's not very practical for travel or hiking, and it's too heavy to use in selfie stick mode. This 31" version is my preferred companion for travel. I thought I would need the 60" version, but is perfectly adequate for most on-the-go situations. One tip for extending and closing the unit. Never force the legs apart to open or together to close. Gently unlatch each of the legs first without pulling them apart. Then extend the unit fully and the legs will stretch apart automatically. Contract the unit back to close the legs and then relatch them manually. If using in selfie stick mode, just extend/close it without unlatching the legs. The biggest gotcha is when switching from selfie to tripod. It's tempting to force the legs apart manually, but you shouldn't. Contract the pole partially, unlatch the legs, and then extend the pole fully to stretch the legs. If you have the discipline to do this each time without forcing the legs, these will last a long time. I do have a few minor complaints about the unit: 1. The remote on mine fits loosely and I fear I might lose it. I actually avoid removing the remote and tend to use timer mode on my phone just because losing it would bother me so much. 2. I would prefer a button cell battery instead of a rechargeable battery for the remote. Recharging is when the remote is out of it's spot for a long time and it could get lost. It's so power efficient that you'd probably only replace a button cell once a year anyway. 3. I have a phone with a 6.7" screen. It's a very tight fit and it feels like I might damage either my phone or the holder. The 60" version has a more roomy holder and I wish they would have incorporated that into this holder even at the cost of another 0.5" of collapsed length. 4. There's no threaded mount option for a GoPro or a tiny point and shoot camera. It would have been easy to incorporate. Overall I love this selfie stick tripod and highly recommend it. I think it's a real feat of design without losing any function.

Excellent product!
I purchased a year ago and all I can say is that durability, value for the money I paid and convenience is what I want to buy and I get it all.
