Absolute game changer for shower safety
This bath transfer bench was such a great help for my FIL. We were able to adjust the height perfectly to make sure he was able to shower safely and comfortably. Sturdy and well constructed as well as easy to assemble. We were initially concerned it might be wobbly or slide but it was very steady. The in out design also made it easy for him to dress in the bathroom even when not showering. It is a better height than the toilet. Highly recommend this for anyone really. It would have made it a lot easier for me if I'd had one when I had a broken leg instead of trying to balance on one leg while dangling the bum one over the side.

Excellent shower bench
This item is well made and feels very sturdy. I've enjoyed using it, I feel safe and well-supported. I'm plus-sized and have no worries about using this bench. When I searched in order to find a shower bench, I was appalled by the prices. This one seemed too good to be true at $58. However it is absolutely perfect for my needs.

Very sturdy and safe!
I highly recommend this chair for anyone with a foot or knee surgery and also works well for elderly people to assist in getting in and out of the tub. Easy to assemble and lightweight. Very sturdy and no slipping. It’s an awesome product!

Affordable and easy tool-free assembly
Got this for my 71 yr old parent who recently had leg surgery. Assembles without any tools and is fairly intuitive even with the easy to follow directions. May be a bit tricky for folks without good hand/finger strength. Some of the fittings and pop-pegs were difficult to get aligned properly, but overall the parts worked as expected. Legs individually adjust so you can ensure the bench is level between the tub surface and out on the bathroom floor if there's a height variance. The seat back is the least favorable as it's not as sturdy as it should be. Do NOT lean back or expect the seat back to provide any real support. The position of the seat back will dictate which direction your side-supoort handle faces. Easy enough depending on your bathroom layout for right or left facing situations. For the money - seems acceptable.

Fast delivery, a little hard to put together.
In case you did not know: You have to put it together yourself. Drawings that come with it are ok - a bit limited and could be better. A little difficult to get legs adjusted to right height for the bathtub. We spent well over half and hour figuring out right heights. My neighbor helped and said that it was much easier than hers which used screws. Delivery had to be fast - mission accomplished. If you do not have much hand strength you will need help putting it together. My neighbor who has a similar one said this is good quality.

Sturdy and Safe
We purchased this for post-surgical use and though that was months ago we still pull it out now and then. We're getting older and a stable way to get in and out of the bath eases the mind. It was easy to assemble, but it haven't had a lot of luck adjusting it so we just keep it tucked away at the botton of the linen closet. The surface is textured to help you stay safely seated and the caps on the bottom of the bench's legs keep it in place so it doesn't wobble or slide when you sit on it or stand. This is a good value for the buy and I definitely recommend it.

This is perfect! If you haven't seen/used one before, read this
Thought this was gong to be overkill, but it's perfect. Hubby couldn't walk on his own, couldn't stand for any length of time, and needed a slider-board to get on/off the bed or a chair. This saved the day and gave him as much bathing independence as possible. This chair is sturdy -he's 250 lbs and we have no concerns about him using this bench at all.. NOTE: The whole bench does NOT go into your tub! Look for videos on the web if you haven't seen one being used or if you haven't had a therapist explain it to you. Basically, the side with the handle goes into the tub. The other side sticks out of the tub so you can sit onto the end and swivel/shuffle around to get your legs into the tub. A simple towel under the legs sticking out of the tub will catch any water that might drip down onto the floor, but if you position your shower curtain right you'll never have that problem. If you're really worried about it, you could raise the legs that are on the outside of the tub so water won't run off that side. But again -we haven't had any water at all. If this could be reassembled to be just a chair (for when patients move up to that level), it would be perfect. But as a bench, it is just what we needed and are glad we got it!!

Very useful for those who cannot stand in the shower/tub
The fact that each leg height can be individually adjusted makes this bench work in lots of settings (e.g. one leg on top of a non slip mat) with the seat remaining level and the bench remaining stable. If used with a bathtub, and the user sits down on it while outside the tub, they do need to be able to lift their legs (in a seated position) over the side wall of the tub, so make sure this will work for your particular requirements. If used with a stand up shower, make sure it either fits inside the shower enclosure, or that you are o.k. with some water getting outside of the shower if the door or curtain cannot be fully closed. Bench is sturdy and feels secure, and is easy to clean. Aluminum parts means no rust. Easy to assemble with no tools required in less than five minutes.

Great Transfer Tub!
Very sturdy and the handles make it easier to move into the tub. Used this when I broke my ankle and it made it easier to use for showering. It was also very easy to put together and take apart. It is also a good size as I was afraid it wouldn't fit in my small bathroom. The bench is textured so there's no risk of slipping off the bench into the tub. Highly recommended.

Quite light
I only gave this four stars because one pushpin was slightly off-centre when I unpacked the box. When I held in that pushpin to connect the lower leg piece, the pushpin dropped out of sight but it was still inside the upper leg. It took a lot of strength, time, sore fingers and persistence with a heavy paperclip to pull the pushpin up through the leg and into the hole. Then I was able to attach the lower leg and it seems strong enough but I'm petite - 5 feet and about 120 pounds - and I test it every time before I sit on it. The bench also only extends about 3 inches past the edge of my tub which is good for a small bathroom but I don't have much to sit on when I swing my legs over and into the tub. This bench might not be suitable for someone who is much heavier, but it's very easy to lift out of the tub. I really only need this transfer bench to get in and out of the bathtub and I'm still able to stand to shower. Since the side of the tub is too wide for any support that clamps on I had to buy a transfer bench. Although I bought this on Amazon.ca, this item ships from the U.S.A. and there are no returns. I couldn't afford to waste the money so I was desperate to get this to work somehow. There is an outlet in Canada but customer service closes at 4 p.m. in Ontario. Since it was after 4 p.m. when I called, I kept on trying to fix the bench myself and never did speak to anyone there so I don't know whether I would have been able to get any satisfaction from them.
