Adjustable Sharpening Stone Holder

I’ve been using King water stones for my chisels and kitchen knives for 40 years. I needed a solid base for my old King stones to hone larger knives and this adjustable stone base has been ideal with either water stones, ceramic stones or steel based diamond stones. It’s great for work bench use because it holds the stone tight and it’s easy to use. I use this new stone holder in my shop by locking it into my Record woodworking vise. That raises the stone up and gives me room to work (see left hand photo). It’s also rock solid. I have a “portable sharpening station” which is essentially a large stainless pan with all my stones and a “sink bridge” version of this stone holder. See right hand photo of the pan with all my stones and my “sink bridge” stone holder at the top of the pan in the photo. Overall, this new stone holder is solid, well made, adjusts quickly, holds tight and works well. Hope that helps!

I've been looking for this awhile. All my sharpening stones and strop fit on it. Extremely well made.

Very simple to use. Just lay your stone in the tray, adjust the thumb screws, and go. The rubber feet keep slippage to a minimum. Also fairly easy to wipe down when finished; there are no tight corners or crevices to worry about cleaning.
